Wizz Air will increase service from Cluj Napoca to Rome Fiumicino (from four-times-weekly to daily) and Paris Beauvais (from thrice-weekly to four-times-weekly) on Oct. 25. Air Pacific and Cathay Pacific Airways will codeshare on FJ's twice-weekly Hong Kong-Nadi service scheduled to launch Dec. 3.
ROUTES 2009 - Abu Dhabi Airport said today that is has completed the roll out of free Wi-Fi and internet access with 50 new walk-up kiosks fully operational in the newly opened Terminal 3, following the success of 15 walk-up kiosks which were launched in Terminal 1 last year.

Southwest Airlines and negotiators for the Southwest Airlines Pilots Assn. reached a new tentative labor agreement, though the union's board has not decided whether to endorse the accord. In June, the LCC's pilots narrowly rejected ratification of a prior deal ( ATWOnline, June 4). The agreement reached yesterday would last two years before becoming amendable.
Lufthansa will hold 95.4% of Austrian Airlines Group following the Wednesday expiration of its offer to free-float shareholders, it announced yesterday. Approximately 8.9% of those shareholders accepted LH's offer of €4.49 ($6.52) per share ( ATWOnline, Sept. 4). Separately, LH announced a 40% increase in capacity to Nigeria beginning Oct. 25. It will continue to operate daily Frankfurt-Lagos flights and will increase its FRA-Abuja service to daily from thrice-weekly.
Donbassaero Airlines Company has launched the Donetsk-Dubai route with plans to start flights from October 2009 for the winter season, the Kyiv Post has reported.
Bmibaby yesterday announced a "massive" expansion at Nottingham East Midlands next year in the wake of easyJet's decision to withdraw from the airport ( ATWOnline, Sept. 4). bmi will eliminate service from London Heathrow to Palma (Nov. 3) and Venice (Nov. 15). Iceland Express will re-launch twice-weekly Keflavik-London Stansted service in November. It moved to London Gatwick in May and will serve both airports.
