Embraer, Kazakhstan Discuss MRO Cooperation

The government of Kazakhstan reported that Embraer President and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto met with the country’s president to discuss aviation cooperation opportunities, including cargo transportation and the prospect of opening a regional service center for Embraer maintenance.

Yingling Aviation Launches A&P Apprenticeship Program

Yingling Aviation has launched an airframe and powerplant mechanic apprenticeship program. The program provides hands-on training and mentorship from its MRO facility in Wichita, Kansas.

AAR Acquires American Distributors Holding

AAR has acquired American Distributors Holding (ADI), a Randolph, New Jersey-headquartered distributor of high-performance electronic components, assemblies and manufacturing services with locations across the U.S., UK and India. AAR says the $146 million acquisition expands its parts distribution business with additional product lines and OEM relationships. AAR Chairman, President and CEO John Holmes says AAR Distribution is the company’s “fastest growing activity, averaging more than 20% organic growth in each of the last four years.”

Batam Aero Technic Gets Vietnamese Certification

Indonesian MRO provider Batam Aero Technic has achieved certification from the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam to perform heavy maintenance on Airbus A320, A321 and A330 aircraft on aircraft registered, operated and listed in Vietnam.

HK Express Taps MRO Japan For Naha Line Maintenance

MRO Japan has signed an agreement to provide line maintenance services to HK Express Airways at Naha Airport. The Hong Kong-based low-cost carrier is establishing a maintenance framework at the airport to support its two daily roundtrip flights there. MRO Japan has been providing ad hoc support to HK Express for unscheduled maintenance events since 2023.

Air New Zealand Rolls Out Maintenance Software

Air New Zealand’s engineering division has implemented OneReg aviation compliance software to manage policies, processes and procedures related to airworthiness, such as controlling and scheduling maintenance operations. The airline’s maintenance division will also transition to OneReg later this year.

Satair Renews Saint-Gobain Sully Distribution Deal

Satair has renewed its distribution agreement with Saint-Gobain Sully. Under the deal, Satair will continue distributing Saint-Gobain Sully’s cabin windows for Airbus and ATR aircraft and cockpit windows for Airbus, ATR, BAE146 and Dornier 328 aircraft in the Asia-Pacific region.

Iberia Implements eTLB

Iberia has implemented an electronic tech log book (eTLB) to replace its paper-based flight logs. The airline has so far rolled out the eTLB on eight long-haul aircraft, and it says the technology enhances information traceability, reduces errors and synchronizes with technical and maintenance data in real-time.

New Chinese Teardown Collaboration

Satair, Airbus Lifecycle Services (ALS) and Chinese aviation recycling specialist Hangrun Technology have signed a memorandum of understanding for a five-year collaboration on aircraft end-of-life solutions. Hangrun Technology will provide ALS with 15 aircraft over a five-year period for dismantling, and the used serviceable material will be distributed and sold by Satair. The agreement builds on Satair and Hangrun’s consignment relationship established in March for Hangrun’s first Airbus A330-300 teardown.

AFI KLM E&M To Support Parata Air Component Services

AFI KLM E&M has signed a component support agreement with Korea’s Parata Air covering the Airbus A330ceo fleet with which it plans to launch operations. The six-year power-by-the-hour contract includes component pooling, repair, main base kits, component health monitoring and logistics services.

Air Niugini Gets OEM Support For New A220s

Air Niugini has signed an Airbus Flight Hour Services contract for its new fleet of 11 A220s. The power-by-the-hour agreement includes integrated component services such as on-site stock, pool access and repair services.

Air Premia Opts For Boeing Landing Gear Program

Air Premia has selected Boeing Global Services’ landing gear exchange program to support maintenance of its 787-9 passenger and cargo fleet. Boeing says airlines that use the program have access to the largest global landing gear exchange pool, which is supported by its expanding network of MRO partners.

Cebu Pacific Extends Airinmar Support Deal

Cebu Pacific has signed a multi-year extension of its agreement with Airinmar, which includes aircraft warranty management and value engineering support services. The airline says Airinmar’s services have helped it effectively manage its maintenance spending during fleet expansion.

AerFin Acquires Fifth A320neo

AerFin has acquired an Airbus A320neo from EMP Aviation Trading, marking its fifth A320neo acquisition. The aircraft will be disassembled in Asia to support AerFin’s regional customer base with used serviceable material.

New Malta EASA Part 66 Exam Hub

MRO training academy 360 Aviation Life has opened a new exam location in Malta that will offer European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) technician exam sessions. It will offer its first EASA Part 66 B1 and B2 exam session in February 2026. 360 Aviation Life provides training through an asynchronous online platform that provides access to video lessons, audiobooks, summaries and virtual support from licensed EASA technicians.

Silk Way West Taps GE For Boeing Freighter Engine Support

Silk Way West Airlines has signed an extended services agreement with GE Aerospace covering the GEnx and GE90 engines powering its growing fleet of Boeing 747-8, 777 and 777-8 Freighters. 

Werner Aero Acquires 737 Airframes

Werner Aero has acquired two Boeing 737-700 airframes from Unical Aviation. The airframes will be disassembled at ecube’s facility in Coolidge, Arizona, to support Werner Aero’s expanding used serviceable material program.

B&H Expands Heathrow Footprint

Aerospace logistics provider B&H Worldwide has expanded its facility near London Heathrow  Airport with new office and warehousing space designed to provide dedicated inventory management for one of its aircraft leasing customers. B&H says the customer has already transferred more than 7,000 line items to the new facility.

Vietjet Thailand Signs AFI KLM E&M Component Deal

Vietjet Thailand has signed a long-term power-by-the-hour component support agreement with AFI KLM E&M covering its fleet of 50 Boeing 737-8 aircraft. The agreement includes component repair, main base kit support and access to AFI KLM E&M’s components pool.

Air India Signs Up For Flydocs

Air India has selected flydocs’ Digital Records Management platform, becoming the software provider’s first customer in the Indian market. Flydocs will also provide the airline with digital engineering services, including end-of-lease projects, to help it maintain records quality, processes and compliance. According to flydocs, its software will interface with Air India’s Swiss-AS AMOS maintenance and engineering software to create a seamless documentation flow.

Air Premia Taps LHT For 787 Spares Supply

South Korean carrier Air Premia has signed a long-term contract with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) covering component supply services for its Boeing 787-9s. Under the deal, LHT will provide Air Premia with access to its global spare parts pool and set up homebase stock at the airline’s technical operations center at Incheon International Airport.

MRO Japan Signs Rotables Deal With Touchdown Aviation

MRO Japan has entered a general terms agreement with Touchdown Aviation covering exchange and purchase of rotable parts. MRO Japan says the arrangement will help it procure rotable parts to offer as part of a package service alongside its expanding end-of-lease maintenance and passenger-to-freighter conversion services.

Sherpa Air MRO Gets Garmin Certification

Georgetown, South Carolina-based Sherpa Air MRO has been named a Garmin authorized service and installation center for its full line of integrated flight decks, GPS navigators, ADS-B products and advanced cockpit systems.

Hawaiian Airlines Boosts Workforce Development Efforts

Hawaiian Airlines and Honolulu Community College are launching a Maintenance Technician Development Program this month. The program provides students enrolled in the college’s Aeronautics Maintenance Technology Program with a $10,500 stipend and up to $1,800 reimbursement for airframe and powerplant certificate exam fees, as well as mentorship from the airline and contingent job opportunities. The program builds on the partners’ Aircraft Mechanic Apprenticeship Program, launched in 2016, that provides hands-on experience in Hawaiian’s maintenance hangar. Earlier this summer, Hawaiian partnered with the Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum to launch a local technician training program for high school students.

Humanitarian air operator Mission Aviation Fellowship has adopted ELMS Staff Competence Management software for its technical operations to standardize its management of license and authorization compliance across 12 countries and eight airworthiness regulators. The operator says the software will give it clear visibility of its engineers’ compliance, experience and competence.

UAMCO Taps Ramco Software For Leap MRO

United Aerospace Maintenance Company (UAMCO) has chosen to implement Ramco Systems’ aviation software to support its MRO operations. UAMCO says the software’s maintenance and materials management capabilities will align with its initiative to provide quick-turn work scopes for CFM International Leap engines.

HAECO has signed a new three-year base maintenance contract with Brussels Airlines to support its fleet of 10 Airbus A330-300s during the winter season from its facilities at Hong Kong International Airport.

BCT Aviation Maintenance Lands New 777F Deals

BCT Aviation Maintenance has signed two new Boeing 777F line maintenance contracts at East Midlands Airport with Ethiopian Cargo and Logistics services and Chinese cargo carrier Central Airlines. Both cargo carriers operate twice-weekly 777F flights to the airport.

Airbourne Colours Nears Completion Of Second Teesside Hangar

Aircraft painting specialist Airbourne Colours reports that it is close to completing its second hangar at Teesside Airport in the UK. The new facility will be able to accommodate narrowbodies such as the Airbus A321 and Boeing 737 MAX 10. Airbourne Colours plans to begin operating the new facility in November.
