Joramco, the Jordanian MRO provider and engineering arm of Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE), has received approval from Jordan's Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission (CARC) to perform line and base maintenance on Embraer E190-E2 aircraft.

This strategic expansion aligns with Joramco's customer needs, particularly supporting Jordan's national flag carrier, Royal Jordanian, which is currently replacing its E170 and E190 E1 fleet with eight E195-E2 aircraft.

"This milestone reinforces our commitment to supporting the needs of our customers and expanding our ability to serve a broader range of modern fleets," said Joramco CEO Fraser Currie. "Introducing the Embraer E2 to our capabilities is a strategic step aligned with our long-term roadmap."

To prepare for this new capability, Joramco invested in comprehensive training programs. Embraer instructors delivered theoretical training on-site at Joramco's facility, while practical training took place at Embraer's facilities in Brazil, where Joramco staff gained hands-on experience under the OEM's supervision.

The E190-E2 certification comes amid significant expansion for the Amman-based provider. At Aviation Week's MRO Middle East 2025 event in April, Currie announced a $100 million investment in three new hangars. One has already opened, with the others scheduled for completion in 2026 and 2028, positioning the company to capitalize on strong regional demand for MRO services.
