Lessor Falko Regional Aircraft has acquired 11 Embraer E-Jets from Nordic Aviation Capital (NAC), as part of a sale and purchase agreement signed in March. The aircraft, a mixture of E175s, E190s and E195s, are on lease to Poland’s flag carrier, LOT Polish Airlines.
“We are pleased to announce the successful closing of the recent set of novations with NAC, with 18 aircraft from this portfolio now completed and acquired for Falko managed fund, Falko Regional Aircraft Opportunities Fund II,” comments Falko’s CCO, Mark Hughes said.
“The transaction increases the number of aircraft Falko now leases to LOT under its managed fleet to 16, all E-Jets, and makes LOT one of Falko’s most significant European customers.
“The E-Jet plays a key role in LOT’s regional operations across central Europe where the airline has established itself as a leading airline in the region by frequency. We would like to extend our thanks to LOT for their assistance with the novations and to the NAC team for their continued support with the closing of the wider aircraft portfolio.”
Falko signed the deal to acquire a portfolio totalling 24 E-Jets from NAC. The purchase comprised twenty E190/195s and four E170/175s on lease to five operators located in North America, Europe and Africa.
Falko describes itself as the world’s largest asset manager and aircraft lessor focused solely on the regional aircraft sector.
