MROs Add New Line Maintenance Services, Locations

1. Expanding to New Segments

Company: FEAM Aero

Product: Miami-based FEAM Aero provides line services for passenger and cargo airlines from 52 locations, including 30 in the U.S., as well as two subsidiary companies—BOSA in Manchester, UK, and Northern Aerotech in Copenhagen. FEAM offers a wide range of services, such as program management oversight, with special emphasis on reliability improvement checks on older aircraft types to improve and maintain technical reliability. Recent developments at FEAM include the addition of base maintenance services as of this year’s fourth quarter and entry into the advanced air mobility sector through a strategic partnership with ZeroAvia.

2. Adding Line Approvals

Product: Jet Aviation holds more than 70 airframe maintenance service approvals worldwide, ranging from large aircraft to business jets, according to the Basel, Switzerland-headquartered company. It offers line maintenance at numerous locations, backed by more extensive maintenance capabilities when required, including 24/7 aircraft-on-ground (AOG) service. Jet Aviation reports that it continues to expand its line maintenance capabilities at Jeddah and Riyadh under FAA repair station approvals in Saudi Arabia for Airbus Corporate Jets, Boeing Business Jet, Bombardier Challenger 604 and Gulfstream G-IV, G-V, G550, G650 business jets. Business jet line service approval for its Zurich location was granted last year.

3. Adding A350 Line Services

Product: Magnetic Group subsidiary Magnetic Line operates 14 line service stations throughout Europe and Africa, its two primary markets. The company says its line maintenance services focus on Airbus, Boeing and Embraer aircraft, primarily for transit checks of widebodies, although it has many on-call agreements with narrowbody aircraft operators. Recently, Magnetic Line has reported adding Airbus A350 line service to various locations within its network as more of its customers fly the aircraft.

4. Growing Globally

Product: STS Aviation Group’s line maintenance network counts 46 locations in the U.S., the UK, France and the Bahamas, including four UK locations added in 2024 at Teesside, Belfast, East Midlands and Norwich airports. Primarily focused on the commercial airline market, the Jensen Beach, Florida-headquartered company says it operates the largest active line maintenance network in the U.S. The MRO provider offers a full range of support services, including FAA-designated engineering representative assistance, mobile AOG teams, ground support equipment repairs and jack maintenance. STS Aviation says it is committed to sustainability and actively implements eco-friendly practices through optimized resource use and waste management at all locations.
