New Horizons: NYCO’s Strategic Expansion In Asia-Pacific
NYCO, a leading international manufacturer of synthetic esters and high-performance lubricants, leverages more than 60 years of aviation industry expertise to set new horizons across Asia.
As geopolitical dynamics reshape global supply chains and customer expectations, NYCO is entering a new phase of regionalization. The recent commissioning of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the United States, combined with the continued expansion of its Singapore operations, reflects the company's commitment to bringing its capabilities closer to customers and enhancing regional responsiveness.
To support this strategic transformation, NYCO has appointed Pedro DASI as General Manager for NYCO Asia-Pacific, its fully-owned subsidiary established in Singapore in 2019. With more than 15 years of aviation experience and more than a decade at NYCO, he will bring his leadership to evolve the Singaporean office from a commercial organization to a fully operational regional hub. This transformation will include the establishment of a local customer support organization, the implementation of quality certifications, the deployment of the company's policies, and the further development of technical, marketing and commercial activities across the region in coordination with the NYCO headquarters.
NYCO has been strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region for more than a decade. The company’s journey in the region started with Business France, which helped to develop the company's defence business across the region.
In 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic began, which represented a significant test of resilience. Thanks to NYCO’s diversified market presence and comprehensive product portfolio, including solutions for aircraft in storage, the company successfully navigated the crisis while continuing to support customers throughout the region. Since then, the group has accelerated its expansion across both civil aviation and defence, strengthening its position in key Asia-Pacific markets, including Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and China.
Singapore's position as a leading aerospace and innovation hub also provides an ideal platform to strengthen collaboration with regional institutions, including the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), and renowned academic partners such as Nanyang Technological University (NTU). These partnerships will further support innovation, talent development, and NYCO's long-term growth strategy in Asia-Pacific.
This new chapter marks an important milestone in NYCO's international development. By reinforcing its operational capabilities in Singapore, the company is establishing a strong regional foundation to better serve its customers, deepen its local partnerships, and support sustainable growth across Asia-Pacific for decades to come.
