Allflight Expands Kent Facility
Part 145 repair station Allflight Corp. is expanding its facility in Kent, Washington, by adding 50% more warehouse and operational space. It says the expansion will increase capacity and enable it to stage more inventory, speed up service and streamline logistics.
SunExpress Taps LHT For CFM Maintenance
SunExpress Airlines has signed a five-year engine MRO agreement with Lufthansa Technik (LHT) covering CFM International CFM56-7B engines powering its Boeing 737-800s and CFM Leap-1B engines on its growing fleet of 737-8s. LHT will provide services from its facilities in Hamburg, including repairs, overhauls and performance restoration shop visits, although the company says it can also provide extra capacity from its XEOS joint venture in Poland.

Heston MRO Opens Auckland Line Station
Heston MRO has established a new line station at Auckland Airport in New Zealand through a partnership with Fieldair. The station is Heston’s first permanent footprint in New Zealand, and it will offer a range of capabilities for narrowbodies and widebodies, including Part 145 engineering, Part 147 technical training and nondestructive testing.
Burrana Adds Chinese IFE Repair Center
Aircraft cabin technology provider Burrana has approved Chengdu Huatai Aviation Technology Co. (CHAT) as an authorized repair center for its components in the Chinese market. CHAT will support Burrana’s PAVES and PAVES On Demand inflight entertainment product lines from its facility at the Chengdu Western High-tech Zone.

Iberia Maintenance Launches Vocational Training Program
Iberia Maintenance has launched a specialization program for gas turbine engine maintenance aimed at individuals with prior vocational training in related fields such as aeronautical structures assembly and vehicle electromechanics. The 500-hr. training will take place in Madrid starting in February.
AJW Secures Air Astana Component Deal
AJW Group has been awarded a new long-term power-by-the-hour component support contract with Air Astana and FlyArystan covering its expanding Airbus A320-family fleet, including A320s, A321neos, A321NXs and A321NXLRs. AJW says the contract will be underpinned by its MRO component subsidiary AJW Technique in Montreal and its new warehouse in Amsterdam.

Blackstone Retains Jump Seat
Blackstone Credit & Insurance retained Jump Seat Advisor to advise with Blackstone’s strategic engine lease partnership with Willis Leasing Finance Corp. (WLFC). Blackstone and WLFC announced on Jan. 5 that they plan to deploy more than $1 billion in next-gen aircraft engines and select aircraft over the next two years.
E190s For Dismantle and Spares
TrueNoord sold two Embraer E190 aircraft to Airlink, the South African regional airline, which plans to dismantle the aircraft to increase its inventory of E190 parts and use the engines as spares.

GA Telesis Expands Footprint, Inventory
GA Telesis announced that it has expanded its used serviceable material inventory with the disassembly of two Airbus A319 aircraft. The company has also expanded into Africa by appointing Elias Dimitiri as vice president of its Flight Solutions Group for Sub-Saharan Africa. GA Telesis says the appointment is the initial phase of its broader plan to establish full operating and distribution capabilities across Africa.
EasyJet’s Final A320ceo Sharklet Push
EasyJet says the last seven of its Airbus A320ceos that are due to be retrofitted with Airbus-manufactured sharklets will be upgraded by this summer. It expects the upgrade to save an additional 2,156 tons of fuel per year across its fleet and nearly 7,000 tons of carbon dioxide.

3TOP Acquires E175s For Teardown
3TOP Aviation Services has acquired two Embraer 175 aircraft previously operated by Italian carrier Alitalia. The aircraft will be torn down and the resulting inventory will be harvested at Atitech’s facility in Rome.
Corax Boosts ATR72 Inventory
Corax has acquired an ATR72 aircraft for teardown that will be used to expand its inventory of used serviceable material. The company says the teardown will yield a wide range of components that include landing gear, flight controls, engines and rotables, which will be available from is headquarters in Copenhagen.

APOC Acquires CF34 For Teardown
APOC Aviation has acquired a General Electric CF34-10E engine formerly operated by Kenya Airways for teardown. It will be dismantled in Europe and its used serviceable material will be available for sale or exchange from APOC’s warehouse near Amsterdam Schiphol Airport.
AeroThrust Becomes Ignite Aero Engines
AeroThrust, a subsidiary of The Xtreme Group and a specialist in CFM56 engine MRO, has rebranded as Ignite Aero Engines. As part of the company’s strategic transformation, Ignite Aero Engines has appointed Juan Pantoja as president.

VSE Completes Aero 3 Acquisition
VSE Corporation has closed its acquisition of GenNx/AeroRepair IntermediateCo Inc., the parent company of Aero 3, an MRO services provider and distributor that supports the commercial wheel and brake aftermarket. VSE acquired Aero 3 for $35 million in cash, subject to working capital adjustments.
Thai Airways Opts For AAR Software Products
Thai Airways has selected software from AAR subsidiaries Trax and Aerostrat for digital MRO, including Trax’s eMRO enterprise resource planning system, suite of eMobility apps and cloud hosting service, as well as Aerostrat’s Aerros maintenance planning software. The airline also plans to deploy proprietary artificial intelligence-powered solutions from Trax and Aerostrat for advanced planning, workflow automation and defect resolution assistance.

Setna iO’s Latest Shopping Spree
Setna iO announced several airframe, engine and auxiliary power unit (APU) acquisitions in the last week that will be torn down to support customers. These include a Boeing 757-300 previously operated by Condor, including two Rolls-Royce RB211-535 engines; an Airbus A320-200 previously operated by Iberia, including two CFM International CFM56-5B engines; a 737-800, including an extra Honeywell GTCP131-9B APU; and two CFM56-7B26 engines outfitted with tech insertion hardware.
AAR Starts Triumph Actuation Distribution Services
AAR Corp. announced that it has begun performing services for its exclusive commercial distribution agreement with Triumph, which was originally announced in April 2024. AAR is now the exclusive distributor of Triumph’s commercial actuation product line.

SkyWest Plans Salina Maintenance Base
SkyWest Airlines plans to establish an aircraft maintenance facility at Salina Regional Airport in Kansas that will support its fleet of more than 500 regional jets, including those currently operating United Express flights in and out of Salina. The new maintenance base is expected to be operational by early spring 2026.
Turkish Technic Agrees New Terms With Pakistan-Based AirSial
Turkish Technic has expanded its Airbus A320ceo component pool agreement with Pakistan-based airline AirSial. Both parties have worked together since 2020 and the new agreement extends their cooperation for an additional five years while broadening the scope of services provided. Under the terms of the contract, AirSial will have access to component support and pooling solutions for its entire fleet by leveraging Turkish Technic's inventory of components and spare parts, dedicated workshops, and warehouses.
