Saudia Group Picks Maintenance Analytics Software

Saudia Group has selected Veryon Defect Analysis software to enhance digital maintenance analytics for its passenger and cargo fleets. The software clusters related defect reports and corrective actions across aircraft types by utilizing artificial intelligence and natural language processing.

Airbus Extends Palantir Collaboration For Skywise

Airbus has signed a multi-year extension of its contract with Palantir for its Skywise data platform. Airbus has worked with Palantir since 2015 to deliver and evolve Skywise.

Joramco Inks Maintenance Check Deals

Joramco signed several maintenance agreements at MRO Middle East. These include a five-year agreement with Condor to perform base maintenance checks for its Airbus fleet; a deal to provide services for Turkish operator ULS Airlines Cargo’s Airbus A310s; an agreement to provide Airbus A330 heavy base maintenance checks for Mexican cargo carrier mas; and Airbus A320 heavy maintenance check agreements with Uzbekistan-based carriers Air Samarkand and FlyOne Asia.

Airnorth Taps Embraer For Fleet Support

Australian carrier Airnorth has signed a multi-year support agreement with Embraer covering comprehensive maintenance, repair and spare parts support for its fleet of E170 and E190 aircraft under the OEM’s pool program.

 ATS Expands Asia Parts Provisioning

Aviation Technical Services (ATS) has signed a letter of intent with DHL Global Forwarding for integrated warehousing services that covers select FAA-approved parts manufacturer approval (PMA) parts and used serviceable airframe and engine parts targeted for use on Asia-based commercial aircraft. The inventory will go to market under the name ATS Asia, and it is expected to be staged in Singapore by the beginning of March.

HAECO Signs Engine, Distribution Deals

HAECO has signed a General Electric GE90 engine support agreement with Saudia to provide engine overhaul services from its facility in Xiamen. It has also extended its partnership with electrical interconnect products distributor Air Cost Control through a new agreement that consolidates existing arrangements under HAECO into a single, group-wide contract.

A330 Cabin Mod

Airbus Defense and Space contracted ST Engineering to modify the cabin of an Airbus A330neo multi-role tanker for one of its customers. Airbus and ST Engineering are joint-venture partners in EFW, the passenger-to-freighter conversion business in Germany.

Flyadeal, Lufthansa Technik Renew Production Inspection Deal

Flyadeal and Lufthansa Technik signed an exclusive five-year contract to renew their Aircraft Production Inspection cooperation covering the airline’s 51 new Airbus A320s and 10 A330neos, with an option for 10 additional widebodies.

Xiamen Airlines Leap-1As

Xiamen Airlines signed a multi-year MRO agreement with ST Engineering to provide first round performance restoration shop visits (PRSV) for its CFM Leap-1A fleet. This contract extends the airline’s engine MRO relationship with ST Engineering, which is gearing up to provide PRSV capabilities for both the Leap-1A and -1B engines, followed by full overhaul services.

A319 Teardown

Werner Aero purchased an Airbus A319, MSN 3790, to dismantle for its parts. Ecube in Wales will tear down the aircraft.

Virgin Australia Opts For Embraer Predictive Maintenance System

Virgin Australia has signed a long-term agreement with Embraer to equip its E-Jet E2 fleet with its AHEAD (Aircraft Health Analysis and Diagnosis) system. AHEAD provides real-time monitoring of systems such as the auxiliary power unit, fuel, pneumatics, hydraulics, avionics, engines, navigation, air conditioning and flight controls.

Japan Airlines Signs Safran A350 Support Deal

Japan Airlines signed a comprehensive nine-year “Support By the Hour” contract with Safran covering up to 35 Airbus A350-900 and -1000 aircraft. The deal includes maintenance, repair, component pooling, logistics management and dedicated local support in Tokyo. Safran says the agreement is the first of its kind to bring together four companies—including Safran Landing Systems, Safran Electronics & Defense, Safran Electrical & Power and Safran Ventilation Systems—under a single contract.

Seattle Aviation Solutions Acquires 737-800 For Teardown

Seattle Aviation Solutions (SAS) has acquired a Boeing 737-800 that will be dismantled for used serviceable material. It says the components should be available to commercial operators starting in the second quarter. The aircraft is the fourth SAS has acquired in the last six months for its teardown program.

Air Premia Taps Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen For 787 Support

South Korean carrier Air Premia has signed a 10-year agreement with Lufthansa Technik Shenzhen covering comprehensive maintenance services for airframe-related components on its Boeing 787-9 fleet. The deal includes MRO, modification, and spare support services such as lease and exchange solutions.

AkzoNobel CAAC Approval

AkzoNobel Aerospace Coatings has expanded its CAAC approval at its Dongguan facility in China to include color blending of its Eclipse topcoat system, a low-VOC application designed to deliver durable protection. This enhancement complements its existing AS9100 certification and OEM approvals from Boeing, Airbus, and COMAC.

TrueNoord Funding

TrueNoord amended and extended a $600 million revolving warehouse facility that strengthens the regional aircraft lessor’s funding platform.

Liebherr, Röder Expand Landing Gear Overhaul Cooperation

Röder Präzision will now overhaul Liebherr-Aerospace main landing gear structural components for the Embraer E-Jet E1 from its facilities. The company says it has invested in a “significant expansion” of its machinery and in additional staff training to support the increased overhaul work. Röder already overhauls parts of the nose landing gear for the E-Jet E1. Liebherr-Aerospace will perform disassembly, assembly, test and certification of the landing gears at its facility in Lindenberg, Germany.

Air New Zealand Rolls Out Regulatory Compliance Platform

Air New Zealand has taken a 5% stake in aviation regulatory compliance platform OneReg and will roll the software out across most of its operational and safety units. The airline has already deployed OneReg across its engineering and maintenance divisions to enable digital management of maintenance and airworthiness policies, processes and procedures.

EFW Starts Lufthansa Cabin Upgrade Project

Elbe Flugzeugwerke (EFW) is undertaking a cabin upgrade program for Lufthansa’s Airbus A380s. EFW will install new Thompson business class seats and complete routine maintenance work on the aircraft from its facility in Dresden, Germany. The first A380 is expected to be completed in April, with the remaining seven A380s finished by mid-2027. Lufthansa says its Airbus A350-900s and Boeing 747-8s will also receive new seats throughout all cabin classes.

ST Engineering Announces Integrated Airframe And Nacelle MRO Center

ST Engineering has announced an integrated airframe and nacelle MRO service center at its Singapore facilities. It says the integrated center will reduce operational complexity and shorten turnaround times by enabling operators to consolidate their airframe and nacelle maintenance work scopes seamlessly in one location.

GATES SPAH Adds New Leap Services

GA Telesis Engine Services’ (GATES) Specialized Procedures Aeroengine Hospital (SPAH) in Wilmington, Ohio, is introducing third-party return and recertification, borescope and preservation services for CFM International Leap-1A and -1B engines. The SPAH will also now start offering reverse bleed system modification services.

TimeTooth Technologies Secures Seating Approval, Agreements

TimeTooth Technologies has received approval from India’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation to manufacture and supply aircraft seating systems. It is the first company to receive Indian Technical Standard Order approval from the regulator. TimeTooth also signed memoranda of understanding for aircraft seating supply with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited and regional carrier Fly91.
