Revima to Repair Air Astana 131-9A APUs

Auxiliary power units (APU) and landing gear MRO specialist Revima has signed a five-year agreement with Air Astana Group for the repair of its 131-9A APUs. Under the terms of the contract, Revima will service the APUs used on the Kazakhstan-based airline's Airbus A320 fleet from its facility in Normandy, France. Air Astana Group will also be covered by Revima's PrediCare predictive maintenance solution, which helps with maintenance planning and optimizes lifecycle cost management.

Envoy Air Taps Liebherr For Landing Gear MRO

Envoy Air has signed a landing gear overhaul and systems maintenance agreement with Liebherr Aerospace Saline covering its Embraer 175-E1 fleet. Liebherr will perform program overhauls and restorations in accordance with Embraer’s requirements for continuing intervals of 30,000 flight cycles or 12 calendar years.

GA Telesis Begins Young A320neo Teardowns

GA Telesis announced that it has begun the disassembly of what it says are two of the youngest Airbus A320neos ever inducted into a teardown program. The assets from the aircraft, which are both less than five years old, will be strategically positioned across GA Telesis’ global distribution and MRO network.

Satair Inks Distribution Deal, Rolls Out More Robotics

Satair has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Schroth Safety Products to support aftermarket requirements for its Installed Physical Secondary Barrier system in North America, positioning Satair as the sole provider of spares and initial provisioning packages for the Schroth system. Satair has also rolled out its new AutoStore system at its Singapore facility, which automates the storage and retrieval of parts using robots that deliver bins directly to workstations.

Newly-Formed Aptus Aero Acquires Atlas Aerospace Accessories

Strategic advisory and investment firm The Stephens Group has formed a new MRO services company, Aptus Aero, which will focus on acquiring and growing component MRO businesses. Aptus Aero has already acquired Atlas Aerospace Accessories, a Part 145 repair station based in Doral, Florida, which specializes in pneumatics, hydraulics, electromechanical systems, electronics, fuel systems and other components.

A220 Thermal Management

AMETEK MRO Drake Air in Tulsa added Airbus A220 thermal management services to its in-house maintenance and test capabilities. It expects its Nu-Matrix designated engineering repair core replacement process to be available for A220 thermal components this quarter.

Air India Taps Panasonic For IFE Maintenance

Air India signed up for Panasonic Technical Services’ Total Care package to maintain its inflight entertainment (IFE) systems across 74 aircraft, including Boeing 787-9s, Airbus A321neos and A350-900s/-1000s. Panasonic Avionics plans to open two new line maintenance stations in Mumbai and New Delhi to help support Air India with proactive monitoring spares management, global field engineering and 24/7 technical assistance.

Aviation Australia Launches Airbus Apprentice Training Program

Industry training provider Aviation Australia has launched a new Airbus-aligned apprentice training program in New South Wales. The program, which began in March, currently supports 27 apprentices studying to obtain its Aeroskills diplomas with either avionics or mechanical specializations.

Aloft AeroArchitects Announces 737 Cabin Retrofit STC

Aloft AeroArchitects has released a supplemental type certificate (STC) for a multi-aircraft cabin interior retrofit on Boeing 737 series aircraft, which it says establishes a modular, repeatable certification pathway for interior upgrades. The retrofit incorporates multiple technologies, including what it says is the first Spectrum Networks aviation-grade smart outlet installed and certified for the 737.

Korean Air Deploys Ramco Software In Engine Maintenance

Korean Air’s Engine Maintenance Center has successfully deployed Ramco Systems’ Aviation Suite of software. The software is being used across the airline’s engine maintenance, finance, customer support and billing operations, and it is also integrated with Korean Air’s Automated Storage Retrieval System for warehouse management. Ramco says more than 400 mechanics and engineers at the airline are also using its Mechanic Anywhere mobile application to perform digital maintenance tasks.

FL Technics Wheels And Brakes Gets UK Part 145 Approval

FL Technics Wheels and Brakes has received UK Civil Aviation Authority Part 145 approval, authorizing it to perform component maintenance on UK-registered aircraft.

Solinair Opens New Ljubljana Hangar

Turkish cargo carrier MNG Airlines announced its Slovenia-based MRO subsidiary Solinair has opened a new 8,000 m² (approximately 86,000 ft.²) hangar at Ljubljana Airport. It says the hangar will support both line and base maintenance services, with capacity to service up to six aircraft simultaneously.

VAECO Gets EASA Part 147 Certification

Vietnam Aircraft Engineering Company (VAECO) has been granted European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part 147 certification, qualifying it to train aircraft maintenance engineers to European standards. It says it is now one of only four organizations in Southeast Asia that holds EASA Part 147 and Part 145 certifications.

Corax Acquires A319

Corax has acquired an Airbus A319 to expand its parts stock. It says the aircraft will be disassembled and parts will be released progressively as they are processed.

AvDyne Launches Workforce Partnership

AvDyne AeroServices, an FAA and European Union Aviation Safety Agency Part 145 maintenance provider, has launched a strategic partnership with the University of the District of Columbia to strengthen its regional MRO workforce. Under the partnership, AvDyne will provide students in the university’s aviation maintenance programs with structured internship and externship opportunities to provide hands-on experience in aircraft maintenance and repair environments.

Werner Aero Acquires A320

Werner Aero has acquired an Airbus A320-200 from AerCap that will be disassembled at Greenwood-Leflore Airport in Mississippi.

APOC Aviation Acquires A320 For Teardown

APOC Aviation has purchased an Airbus A320-200 for teardown from FTAI. The aircraft was most recently operated by Jetstar Pacific Airlines and will be dismantled at Tarmac Aerosave’s Toulouse-Francazal facility in May.

Executive Jet Support Acquires Three Aircraft For Teardown

Executive Jet Support has acquired several new aircraft for teardown. It has purchased two Airbus A340-600s from USC GmbH in Germany, which will be disassembled in Poland, and an Embraer ERJ145 from Loganair, which will be disassembled in Latvia.

Heico Acquires Sherwood Avionics and Accessories

Heico’s Flight Support Group has acquired 80% of the stock of Sherwood Avionics and Accessories, an FAA and European Union Aviation Safety Agency Part 145 repair station headquartered near Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport that specializes in mechanical and electromechanical components for defense and select commercial aviation platforms. It has MRO capabilities for components such as auxiliary power units, landing gear systems, wheels and brakes, pneumatics, hydraulics, fuel and lighting systems and avionics.

ATC Group Acquires PAS MRO

Air Transport Components (ATC Group) has acquired PAS MRO, an aerospace component repair provider specializing in bearing repair services that is based in Bristow, Oklahoma. ATC Group says PAS MRO complements its existing operations in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Gilbert, Arizona.

Setna iO Expands Credit Facility

Setna iO has expanded its commercial credit facility to $550 million in borrowing capacity. CEO David Chaimovitz says this will position Setna iO to continue investing in the growth of its subsidiaries, Setnix, Setnix UK, PartsLab, Zulu Global, Landing Gear Technologies and J&C Aero.

Aircraft Recycling Innovation Call For Projects

The Aircraft Fleet Recycling Association (AFRA) and Aethos have announced a call for projects for their Aircraft Material Recycling Award, which recognizes innovative solutions in sustainable aviation recycling. The deadline for applications is May 1 and the winner will be announced in early June at AFRA’s Annual Conference.

Marubeni Corp. Acquires DASI

Marubeni Corporation has acquired a 100% ownership stake in Miami-based aviation inventory specialist DASI. The companies say Marubeni plans to further invest in DASI’s digital infrastructure, expand the availability of factory new spares and accelerate growth across DASI’s surplus inventory channels.

Rollier Named KLM Engine Services VP

Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) has appointed Benoît Rollier as vice president of KLM Engine Services, effective this week. He succeeds Martijn de Vries, who will take on the role of senior vice president of ommercial with immediate effect. Rollier was most recently vice president of engineering for KLM and was CEO and managing director of Spairliners, a joint venture with Lufthansa Technik.  

Innovative Systems Acquires Honeywell License

Innovative Systems acquired an exclusive license from Honeywell International for key operational assets including technical data and tooling to support power generators and generator control units on Boeing 767, KC-46 aerial refueling and F-15 platforms.

Airbus Launches Skywise Subsidiary

Airbus has spun off its Skywise predictive maintenance digital products into a new wholly owned subsidiary that merges Skywise and its Navblue flight operations software products into one entity, branded as Skywise. Airbus says the move is aimed at addressing evolving customer needs and streamlining customers’ flight, technical and ground operations.

Ryanair Opens Madrid Maintenance Hub

Ryanair inaugurated its new €25 million maintenance center at Madrid Barajas Airport last month. The largest in its network with capacity for seven aircraft, Ryanair said the operation will create 700 highly skilled jobs, including engineers, mechanics and support staff.

DASI To Support Mesa Fleet Transition

Miami-based DASI, a provider of aviation inventory and logistics solutions, has signed an agreement with Mesa Airlines to support its fleet transitions and integration with Republic Airways. To achieve this, DASI has acquired spare parts inventories covering Mesa’s entire CRJ700 and CRJ900 aircraft fleet. Republic Airways and Mesa Air Group completed their merger in November 2025, creating a combined entity under Republic Airways Holdings.

AerFin Acquires Fourth Ex-Japan Airlines 777

UK-based asset specialist AerFin has acquired a fourth Boeing 777-300ER previously operated by Japan Airlines. The widebody aircraft recently arrived in Roswell, New Mexico to undergo teardown. In recent years, AerFin has strengthened its 777 capability and sought to grow operator support.
