The Mohammed Bin Rashid Aerospace Hub (MBRAH) at Dubai South officially inaugurated a new state-of-the-art painting and grinding center, developed by Lufthansa Technik Middle East, on March 25.

The newly opened facility is designed to enhance component painting and grinding processes essential for structural and composite repairs. With improved curing and drying technologies, the center aims to boost operational efficiency while reducing turnaround times for airline customers across the Middle East.

Tahnoon Saif, CEO of MBRAH, described the launch as a “key milestone” in the hub’s ongoing development.

“This is part of our mandate to reinforce Dubai’s position as the aviation capital of the world, in alignment with our leadership’s vision for the emirate,” he said.

Ziad Al Hazmi, CEO of Lufthansa Technik Middle East, said the expansion will strengthen service delivery and customer satisfaction.

“By introducing enhanced component painting and grinding capabilities, we are improving efficiency and enabling faster turnaround times for our customers,” he said. “Our continued expansion at MBRAH reflects our long-standing partnership with Dubai South.”

Headquartered in Dubai, Lufthansa Technik Middle East provides a broad range of aviation services, including component support, structural and composite repairs and maintenance solutions for Airbus and Boeing aircraft. The company also offers logistics, material management and spare parts supply to regional airline operators.
