FL Technics LLC, the Abu Dhabi-based subsidiary of maintenance provider FL Technics, has expanded its approved line maintenance capabilities to include the Airbus A350 and Boeing 777, 787 and 737 MAX aircraft with Leap-1B engines.

The approvals cover three of the UAE’s busiest hubs—Zayed International Airport, Dubai International Airport and Al Maktoum International Airport—and will also allow the company to service the aircraft types across the regional outstations it manages.

FL Technics LLC said the additions mean its service capabilities now span “a significant part of narrowbody and widebody types that are most relevant to international operations.”

“These approvals represent a new chapter in our growth and an important step in the continued development of FL Technics LLC, as we steadily expand our technical capabilities to meet the changing fleet requirements of airlines in the region,” said Arif Alameri, CEO of FL Technics LLC. “Our objective is to provide airlines with greater access to capable and reliable line maintenance support across our UAE stations, while also supporting their regional operations and outstation requirements as our network continues to develop.”

Alameri said all four aircraft types are now included within its approved capability, and that the company already holds the organizational capacity, expertise and technical infrastructure to support work under the expanded scope.

The company’s up-to-date line maintenance offering covers 11 aircraft types, ranging from daily checks and borescope inspections to round-the-clock aircraft-on-ground support, defect rectification, troubleshooting and flying-spanner and engine changes.

Alameri said the UAE is “a critical hub for airlines operating in the region and beyond,” and the company aims to broaden its range in line with customer needs, both at its local stations and increasingly across wider airline networks.

Over the past two years, Alameri said its engineers have completed more than 1,500 flying-spanner assignments for customers.

FL Technics LLC is part of FL Technics Group, a global provider of MRO solutions and part of Avia Solutions Group.
