ORLANDO—JetBlue Airways has agreed to deploy the Skywise Fleet Performance+ (S.FP+) solution across its fleet of Airbus A320-family and A220 aircraft.

The digital solution is aimed at supporting improved aircraft availability and maintenance planning. JetBlue’s selection represents one of the first customer agreements to be announced since the launch of Skywise in early April, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airbus it formed by merging Skywise digital solutions and Navblue solutions into a single entity.

“Our ambition with this new company is to become the preferred partner for airlines, lessors and MRO, to unlock the full potential of their data for more efficient, resilient and sustainable operations,” Skywise CEO Mark Marc Lemeilleur said here in Orlando. “The agreement we just signed with JetBlue reflects the momentum we have globally seen as airlines are addressing and making progress with their digital transformation.”

The S.FP+ solution selected by JetBlue leverages aircraft data and predictive analytics to allow for real-time monitoring and accelerated troubleshooting.

“JetBlue is giving our Technical Operations team more advanced tools to monitor aircraft condition and health, respond more quickly and plan maintenance more effectively,” said David Marcontell, vice president of JetBlue TechOps.

Airbus will also upgrade cockpit display systems on 46 JetBlue A320s, under another contract announced at Aviation Week’s MRO Americas. The contract includes the installation of Enhanced Electronic Instrument System (EEIS2) displays, replacing legacy systems with high-resolution LCD technology.

EEIS2 equipment is designed and supplied by Thales.
