Citation Ascend PW545Ds
Textron Aviation’s Citation Ascend is powered by Pratt & Whitney Canada PW545D engines and the nacelle is integrated with a target-type thrust reverser. The aircraft and its engine are making their NBAA-BACE debut.
Pearl 700s
Gulfstream G700s are powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 700 engines that each produce 18,250 lbs. of thrust. The G700 appears at the static display along with the G800, G600, G400 and G300 mock-up.
FJ44-4 for SyberJet
Williams International has disclosed its FJ44-4 engine has been selected for SyberJet’s newly announced light jet, the SJ36, which is set for first flight in 2027 with certification and deliveries in 2032. At NBAA the engine maker also displayed an FJ44-4A configured with the rarely seen passive thrust vectoring nozzle developed for use on the Pilatus PC-24.
HF120s for HondaJet
GE and Honda Aero Engines HF120 joint venture engine recently powered a HA420 HondaJet fueled with 100% sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), marking a milestone demonstration of the use of renewable fuel in an unmodified very light jet.
Passport Blisks
The blisked fan is a key feature of GE Aerospace’s Passport engine--an uprated version of which was certificated in August by Transport Canada and the FAA for Bombardier’s Global 8000. The first engine to be delivered later this month post aircraft certification will also be the 500th Passport powerplant produced by GE.
Honeywell HTF7000
Honeywell’s HTF7000 turbofan has logged more than 12 million flight hours and powers aircraft such as the Bombardier Challenger 300 and 350, Citation Longitude, Embraer Legacy 450/500, Embraer Praetor 500/600 and Gulfstream G280.
Whisper Prop
BLR Aerospace’s 7-blade Whisper Prop is made of composites and can be installed on the King Air 300 series.
Silent 7
MT-Propeller’s Silent 7 seven-bladed propeller can be installed on Pilatus PC12 aircraft through supplemental type certificates. Fetch, a new charter company based in California, is installing the propellers on its refurbished PC12 fleet.
