Striking machinist union members at Textron Aviation voted to ratify the company’s newest labor contract offer and agreed to end their walkout.

Boeing and the union representing 33,000 striking machinists have agreed new contract terms to end the more than month-long walkout. The union vote is Oct. 23.

Spirit AeroSystems, the Wichita-based lead supplier of aerostructures to Boeing, said it will furlough around 700 employees for 21 days starting Oct. 28.
