ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa has renewed key maintenance approvals from the U.S. FAA along with certifications from eight African civil aviation authorities.

The certifications cover approvals from the aviation authorities of Angola, Botswana, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa and Zambia.

ExecuJet’s facility at Johannesburg’s Lanseria International Airport also underwent the regulatory audits, assessing maintenance record traceability, engineering qualifications and certifications, and quality control systems to ensure full compliance with international standards.

Vince Goncalves, Regional VP Africa at ExecuJet MRO Services, said the approvals “reflect both technical rigor and longstanding confidence from aviation authorities across the continent.”

“Maintaining these approvals is more than a compliance requirement. It demonstrates our technical capability and the trust we have earned from regulators across Africa,” he said.

The renewed certifications come at a time of rising demand for business aviation services in Africa. More than 400 business aircraft are currently active across the region.

“We are witnessing notable growth with new aircraft entering service, and international charter operators positioning fleets in the region to meet rising demand,” Goncalves added. “This underscores the continent’s growing importance in the global business aviation landscape.”

The company is also progressing with additional capability enhancements, including approval for a newly installed in-house spray booth that will allow for touch-up paintwork on components up to 1.5 m in size.

ExecuJet MRO Services South Africa, a wholly owned subsidiary of Dassault Aviation, is the largest business aviation MRO in Africa, with hangar capacity to accommodate up to 14 aircraft of varying sizes.
