ALL4JETS Gets ANAC Part 145 Approval

Polish MRO ALL4JETS has been granted Part 145 approval from the National Civil Aviation Agency of Brazil (ANAC), enabling it to provide certified maintenance services on aircraft registered in Brazil and their installed engines and components.

LOTAMS Signs New LOT Line Maintenance Deal

LOT Aircraft Maintenance Services (LOTAMS) has signed a new contract with LOT Polish Airlines covering line maintenance services. The company says the contract is worth 1.1 billion Poilsh zloty (approximately $300 million).

VSE Announces Aero 3 Acquisition Deal

VSE Corporation has signed a definitive agreement to acquire GenNx/AeroRepair IntermediateCo, the parent company of Aero 3, a specialist in wheel and brake MRO and distribution. The acquisition will add nine MRO facilities to VSE’s portfolio and broaden its MRO, distribution and proprietary product offerings.

Skyways Technics Adds A320 Floor Panel Capability

Skyways Technics reports that it has expanded its component support capability in Asia by offering Airbus A320 floor panels for exchange or purchase, which have been repaired by its technicians in Subang, Malaysia.

Air Tahiti Plans ATR MRO Expansion

Air Tahiti announced plans to establish a center of excellence for ATR maintenance at Tahiti-Faa’a Airport. The airline intends to expand and upgrade its existing technical center there to offer maintenance and training services. The airline notes that the project should create career opportunities for young Polynesians and enhance the skills of its local technicians.

MTU Maintenance, Teledyne Form Engine Services Partnership

MTU Maintenance and Teledyne Controls announced a partnership focused on delivering enhanced engine health monitoring and predictive maintenance services to customers. MTU will utilize Teledyne’s cloud-based Data Distribution Solutions and its GroundLink Comm+ wireless communication system to gain insight into engine health and performance. Viva Aerobus will be the launch customer for the partnership, with the data insights focused on the IAE V2500 engines powering its Airbus A320s.

Aeroxchange, Trax Expand Integration Partnership

Trax and Aeroxchange have signed an agreement to expand and enhance their range of system integrations, which the companies say will enable faster implementations, quicker troubleshooting and reduced downtime. Aeroxchange and Trax say they also intend to align technology roadmaps to speed up delivery of new features and innovations.

Delta TechOps Reports Data Savings

Delta TechOps reports that it has installed Avionica’s wireless miniQAR across its Boeing 757 fleet. It says the quick access recorder has shortened its data latency from 25 days to 3 min. and eliminated thousands of annual work hours previously required for manual data collection. Delta will continue to roll out the product across the rest of its non-wireless fleet.

AEI Launches B737-900ERSF Conversion Program

Aeronautical Engineers, Inc. (AEI) has launched its Boeing 737-900 Extended Range Special Freighter (B737-900ERSF) passenger-to-freighter conversion program, which is covered under its licensing arrangement with Boeing. AEI hopes to achieve FAA supplemental type certification for the B737-900ERSF in 2029, followed by approvals from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and Civil Aviation Administration of China.

Safran Expands AIM Workforce Partnership

Safran has renewed and expanded its partnership with the Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM) to include employer spotlight campus visits, talent pipeline development, scholarship awards and presence across additional AIM campuses beyond AIM’s Dallas-Fort Worth location.

STS Opening New Florida Line Station

STS Line Maintenance announced it will open a new satellite station at Vero Beach Regional Airport in Florida on Dec. 1. The station will support JetBlue Airways as its launch customer.

MAB Engineering, MTU Maintenance Zhuhai Strengthen Engine Support Collaboration

MAB Engineering Services has signed an agreement with MTU Maintenance Zhuhai that reinforces an earlier memorandum of understanding focused on supporting MAB as it works to achieve readiness for on-site support maintenance on CFM International CFM56-5B and -7B engines by July 2026, IAE V2500 engines by 2027 and Leap engines by 2028. MTU is providing MAB with project management support, employee training and sales pipeline development.

Magnetic Line Signs Chemicals Supply Deal

Magnetic Line has signed a collaboration agreement with aviation chemicals supplier Aviocom that initially covers its most frequently consumed aviation chemicals at its line stations in Germany and the Netherlands. Magnetic says the agreement is aimed at ensuring a stable, price-consistent and long-term supply of aviation chemicals, including streamlined logistics and improved delivery coordination.

GMF AeroAsia, Pelita Air Service Sign MRO MOU

GMF AeroAsia and Pelita Air Service signed a memorandum of understanding to explore MRO cooperation at Jakarta Pondok Cabe Airport. GMF AeroAsia says the collaboration will enable it to expand its maintenance services to include ATR aircraft and Bell 412 helicopters.

SIAEC Group subsidiary Base Maintenance Malaysia has received Part 145 maintenance organization approval from the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia

AerFin, SIAEC Complete First A320 Teardown In The Philippines

AerFin announced that it has completed the first Airbus A320neo disassembly in the Philippines in partnership with SIA Engineering Company Philippines. The teardown was completed in 30 days and its used serviceable parts will be made available to operators and MROs across the Asia-Pacific region. The aircraft’s Pratt & Whitney PW1100 engines have already been sold.

Republic Airways Extends Embraer Maintenance Deal

Republic Airways has signed a long-term extension of its agreement with Embraer covering heavy maintenance on its fleet of E170s and E175s. Embraer will provide services from its facility in Nashville, Tennessee, as well as components and drop-in AOG repairs.

SalamAir, StandardAero Expand Engine MRO Cooperation

Oman-based low-cost carrier SalamAir has signed a new non-exclusive general terms agreement with StandardAero. The engine MRO specialist says the agreement paves the way for it to provide the SalamAir with CFM International Leap-1A performance restoration shop visits to support its Airbus A320neo family fleet.

Pratt & Whitney Inks APU Support Deal

Pratt & Whitney Canada has signed a 14-year maintenance agreement with Lufthansa Airlines and Austrian Airlines covering 41 APS5000 auxiliary power units on the airlines’ fleets of Boeing 787s.

Airbus Avionics Opens Radome Logistics Hub

Airbus Avionics has opened a new Radome Logistics Hub near Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport, which will be used to store and streamline the logistics of shipping and collecting radomes for repair. Airbus says the facility will provide seamless access to its avionics repair network and optimize turnaround times.

Mauritania Airlines Picks StandardAero For Engine MRO

Mauritania Airlines has selected StandardAero to provide MRO support for the CFM International CFM56-7B and Leap-1B engines powering its Boeing 737NG and MAX 8 fleets. StandardAero has previously provided the airline with auxiliary power unit repair services for its Embraer E175 fleet.

Proponent Acquires Avioparts

Aircraft parts distributor Proponent has acquired Avioparts, a specialist in aircraft tires, aviation lubricants, chemicals and logistics solutions. Proponent says the acquisition expands its product portfolio and grows its global footprint by adding new distribution centers across North America, Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

AFI KLM E&M Signs CFM56 Deal With Shenzhen Airlines

AFI KLM E&M has signed a three-year engine maintenance agreement with Shenzhen Airlines and its subsidiary, Kunming Airlines, covering CFM International CFM56-7B engines between 2025-27. It will provide maintenance services from its KLM Engine Facilities in Amsterdam.

AJW Group Opens Amsterdam Warehouse

AJW Group has opened a new warehouse in Amsterdam to improve European customers’ access to parts. The facility will hold a range of what AJW says are high-demand components for widely-operated Airbus and Boeing aircraft. Scott Symington, chief commercial officer at AJW Group, says the warehouse will reduce lead times and streamline logistics by providing inventory located closer to customers in the European Union.

BCT Aviation Boosts East Midlands Equipment

BCT Aviation Maintenance has announced a six-figure investment in new hangar equipment and airside vehicles at East Midlands Airport, including new Genie platform lifts, Hydro tripod airframe jacks and zero-emission vans. BCT Aviation will also get a new hydraulic ground power unit and ram air turbine test rig in the coming months. The investment comes ahead of what BCT Aviation says will be a full-capacity winter maintenance program.

MAAS Aviation Extends Airbus Paint Deal

MAAS Aviation has extended its agreement with Airbus to paint A220 and A320 aircraft in Mobile, Alabama, for five years. The company has the capability to paint up to 200 aircraft annually in Mobile across five dedicated paint bays.

Ametek MRO has signed an agreement with AJW Group to provide component repair support across facilities in Europe, the U.S. and Asia. The deal covers components including electromechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics, environmental, heat transfer, pumps and controls, avionics and instruments.

GT Engine Services Rebrands To STS Engine Services

GT Engine Services has rebranded to STS Engine Services, following STS Aviation Group’s acquisition of the company in May 2024. Managing Director Tracey Clark says STS Engine Services will be leveraging its parent company’s strength to expand capabilities and invest in new technologies.

AAR Collaborates With SIU On Workforce Development

AAR has signed a memorandum of understanding with Southern Illinois University (SIU) that formalizes their collaboration on opportunities for students within the school’s aviation and supply chain management programs. SIU students will get access to development opportunities such as internships and co-ops at AAR, workshops led by its staff, mentorship programs and networking opportunities.

FL Technics Plans Further Wheels and Brakes Network Expansion

The wheels and brakes business of Lithuanian MRO FL Technics plans to double its workshop network by 2030. The company operates four facilities in Europe at sites in in Hanover, Budapest, Vilnius, and most recently Bergamo, which opened earlier this year.

Bucharest-based aerospace and defense specialist Romaero has received its Part 21G production organization approval certificate from the Romanian Civil Aeronautical Authority, enabling it to manufacture aircraft components.

Lufthansa Technik Launches New Data Recording Devices

Lufthansa Technik and Hensoldt have jointly launched a new line of cockpit voice and flight data recording (CVR/FDR) devices that can store data for longer in compliance with new FAA regulations requiring recorded CVR data be stored for at least 25 hr. before it can be overwritten. The new CVR can store up to 45 hr. of cockpit conversations and up to 170 hr. of datalink recordings, and the new FDR has capacity for up to 1,600 hr.

Caerdav Starts A320 Lease Transitions For Avolon

UK-based MRO Caerdav has commenced transition work on an Airbus A320 aircraft owned by lessor Avolon. The narrowbody aircraft was prepared for operation in Spain with low-cost airline Volotea. It had previously been in service in the Asia-Pacific region. Work was carried out at Caerdav's facility in St. Athan, Wales and involved an airframe inspection, the replacement of an engine followed by an in-depth boroscope review.

Duncan Aviation Nearing Completion Of New Engine Shop

Duncan Aviation is finishing construction of a new 36,000 ft.² Pratt & Whitney Canada designated overhaul facility for PW300 and PW500 turbofan engines in Lincoln, Nebraska. The facility includes 12 dedicated engine maintenance bays, expanded back shops and a new parts inventory warehouse. It expects the facility to be operational in November.

FL Technics Expands In Scandinavia

FL Technics has opened 14 new line maintenance stations across Scandinavia. The new stations are located in Ålesund, Alta, Bodø, Harstad/Narvik, Kirkenes, Kristiansand and Svalbard, Norway, and in Åre/Östersund, Kiruna, Luleå, Malmö, Nyköping, Skellefteå and Umeå, Sweden.

PSA Airlines Boosts Pay For New Maintenance Staff

PSA Airlines reports that it has increased pay rates for several maintenance roles based in Dayton, Ohio, which it says is one of its most critical bases. Aircraft maintenance technicians, maintenance training instructors, inspectors and maintenance leads in their first or second year with the company will receive a pay increase between 5-10%.

Duncan Aviation Opens Battle Creek FAA Testing Center

Duncan Aviation’s facility in Battle Creek, Michigan, has been approved as an FAA testing center. The facility will now offer FAA Airman Knowledge Tests for mechanics, pilots and other aviation professionals. Duncan Aviation says the added testing capability means its team members will no longer need to travel an hour or more to reach their nearest FAA facility.

Engine leasing specialist BeauTech Power Systems has signed an agreement with British Airways CityFlyer to expand its support of the regional carrier’s Embraer E190 fleet. The deal includes 14 General Electric CF34-10E engines with continued operating lease support to cover upcoming maintenance events.

Satair Chengdu Acquires A319 For Teardown

Satair Chengdu has completed the acquisition of an Airbus A319 airframe from China Asset Leasing Company which it has earmarked for teardown. The agreement marks the first asset purchase for Satair Chengdu. The aircraft was manufactured in 2005 and formerly operated by Sichuan Airlines. The asset will be dismantled by Airbus (Chengdu) Lifecycle Services with the used serviceable materials then being made available through Satair’s global distribution channels as well as those of VAS Aero Services.

Air Atlanta Icelandic, a charter and ACMI airline based in Iceland, has signed a five-year agreement with flydocs for its Digital Records Management software. The software will be integrated with the airline’s Trax maintenance and engineering software.

Werner Aero Opens Tucson Warehouse Facility

Werner Aero has opened a new 30,000 ft.² warehouse facility in Tucson, Arizona, aimed at increasing capacity and improving response times. Werner Aero already operates a warehouse in Mahwah, New Jersey, which it expanded in May. The company now has 75,000 ft.² of total warehouse capacity.
