MRO Asia-Pacific 2025 Awards Honor Industry Excellence
Singapore, 15 September 2025 – The MRO Asia-Pacific 2025 Awards celebrated the region’s top performers in aviation maintenance, recognizing innovation, leadership, and sustainability in a dynamic and challenging market.
Executive Roundtable: A Platform for Strategic Dialogue
In the afternoon, the Aviation Week Network Executive Roundtable provided an exclusive, closed-door forum for approximately 20 regional leaders to engage in candid discussions on the pivotal topics shaping the aviation and MRO landscape in Asia. This invitation-only event offered a unique opportunity for industry peers to exchange insights on the most pressing challenges and opportunities currently influencing the sector.
Moderated by Lee Ann Shay, Executive Editor for Business Aviation & MRO at Aviation Week Network, the roundtable featured a distinguished panel of nine executives representing airlines, OEMs, MROs, lessors, airports, and government entities. The panellists included:

6th MRO Asia-Pacific Awards featuring Asia Aerospace Leadership Networking
The evening began with opening remarks from Thom Clayton, Vice President of Data, Intelligence & Media at Aviation Week Network, "In an era of rapid technological advancement and evolving industry demands, MRO Asia-Pacific serves as a critical platform for collaboration, innovation, and strategic dialogue," Clayton remarked. "This year’s awards and discussions will spotlight the leaders driving efficiency, safety, and sustainability across the region."
The event featured a compelling welcome address by Zheng Jingxin, Vice President of Mobility & Industrial Solutions at the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). As the Distinguished Guest of Honor, Zheng highlighted Singapore’s strategic position as Asia’s leading aerospace hub, with a nose-to-tail MRO ecosystem and continued investments in world-class infrastructure and local talent development. This allows Singapore to spearhead the development of next-generation technologies including MRO processes, repair development and advanced materials.
Following the keynote, a high-level panel discussion titled "Achieving Growth During Turbulent Times" brought together industry leaders to explore strategies for navigating challenges in the aviation sector. Moderated by Marko Vuksanovic, Principal, Asia Pacific of Tradewin, the panel included Elodie Berthonneau (Vice President Asia-Pacific, Lufthansa Cargo), Chris Gruener (EVP and Head of Technical, BOC), and Simon Cheok (General Manager, Safran Landing Systems Asia), who shared insights on fostering collaboration, addressing supply chain disruptions, and leveraging technology to drive resilience and growth.
