SINGAPORE—Singapore Airlines Engineering Company (SIAEC) will be providing line maintenance and selected fleet management support services to Scoot’s new Embraer E190-E2 fleet.

SIAEC is already providing line service for Scoot’s Airbus A320 family and Boeing 787-8/9 fleet.

The deal covers a period of 58 months with an option for 24 more months and is expected to generate S$52 million ($39 million) in revenue. Although the deal is set to commence April 1, the first E190-E2 is not expected to arrive in Singapore until mid-to-late April. Scoot says its first E190-E2 commercial service will start May 7.

Since its announcement in May 2023 of its plan to lease nine E190-E2s, the SIA subsidiary has been working toward a quick delivery of the aircraft within the year, including the coordination of support services such as maintenance, training, and overseas support.

At the Singapore Airshow, Embraer officially opened the Asia-Pacific’s first E-Jet E2 full flight simulator at the Singapore Airlines Training Center, a joint venture between the Brazilian aircraft manufacturer and CAE.
