Based in Singapore, Chen Chuanren is the Southeast Asia and China Correspondent for Air Transport World, joining the team in July 2018.

Chuanren has a defense background, serving in the Republic of Singapore Air Force’s Air Defence and Operation Command for five years before pursuing journalism. He has a diploma in Mechatronics (Aerospace) and a Bachelor Degree in Communications (Mass Communications). He continues to write on defense matters on a freelance basis.
