Signature Aviation officially opened a newly renovated facility at Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport (ANC) in Alaska on May 9.

The newly renovated FBO facility, built within the former Kulis Air National Guard Base, features a 13,900 ft.² passenger terminal and a 90,000 ft.² aircraft ramp. The upgraded facility contains a U.S. Customs and Border Protection station, which is scheduled to open soon, a complimentary snack bar and an executive conference room.

Signature said the Anchorage location is well-positioned on great circle routes from the Asia-Pacific region to the U.S., as well as being advantageously located on great circle routes for European traffic flying direct routes to the U.S. West Coast. The FBO is capable of performing technical stops within an hour.

ANC is always staffed, with no curfew, and has never closed due to inclement weather, Signature added.

“Signature’s Kulis terminal for private aviation is helping restate the importance of Anchorage as both a global crossroads and a destination for private aviation,” said Geoff Heck, Signature Aviation senior vice president of global operations. “There is simply no better, faster, or more reliable tech stop option available to operators that frequently find themselves traveling between Asia and the United States than that provided by Signature Anchorage.”
