Jet-A Fuel Costs Rise In September, Survey Says

The retail price of a gallon of Jet-A rose 18 cents in September when compared to August 2026 and is up $1.96 per gallon from a year ago, according to a fuel survey of U.S. fixed-based operators (FBO) conducted by the Aviation Research Group.

The national average for a gallon of Jet-A totals $8.49, it says. Prices were reported by more than 200 FBOs across the country and include all taxes and fees.

The largest monthly price increase was in the Southwest region, up 28 cents in September compared to August. The smallest increase was found in the Western Pacific region, up 7 cents compared to the previous month, although it remains the most expensive region at $9.16 per gallon. The least expensive was the Central region at $7.57 per gallon.
