Private jet operator NetJets has taken delivery of three Cessna Citation Ascend business jets, marking the first fleet operator to take delivery and begin operations of the midsize aircraft.
As of May 5, Textron Aviation has delivered seven Citation Ascends so far in 2026, including the three to NetJets, according to Aviation Week data.
The company delivered the first Ascend to an unidentified retail customer in December 2025. It is the newest business jet in the Citation 560XL series and replaces the Citation XLS Gen 2. The Ascend received FAA certification in November 2025.
The delivery to NetJets is part of a record-breaking fleet agreement signed in 2023 for an option for NetJets to buy up to 1,500 Cessna Citation business jets over the next 15 years. The order includes the Citation Ascend, Citation Latitude and Citation Longitude.
The $18.2 million Ascend, which can be configured for 7-12 passengers, has a maximum airspeed of 441 ktas with a four-passenger range of 1,940 nm.
Textron Aviation has updated the aircraft with a new Garmin G5000 cockpit, a flat-floor cabin, new 15% larger windows with translucent and opaque shade settings, wireless shade control and optional lighted window rings. The cabin also features the acoustic treatment system used in the Citation Latitude.
