
Airport Dimensions opens sleep ‘n fly lounge at DOH
Airport Dimensions opened its second sleep ’n fly lounge at Hamad International Airport in Qatar in late 2022.
Located at North Node, opposite Gates 30-31, the new 420 sq m lounge can accommodate more than 50 guests at any one time.
The lounge features a choice of sleep options for guests, including sleep ’n fly’s flagship FlexiSuite pods, bunk and family cabins as well as dedicated power nap and economy pods. Shower and toilet facilities are also available.
Features also include comfortable seating in a waiting area as well as a dedicated retail space selling travel essentials such as sleep ’n fly’s signature neck hoodies, eco dental and shaving kits, travel slippers, teddy bears and more.

Etihad opens Terminal A lounge at Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has unveiled flagship premium lounges at Abu Dhabi International Airport’s new Terminal A. Etihad’s new lounges span three floors of Terminal A’s north side, nestled between Piers C and D. The First and Business lounges feature a range of dining options, relaxation and entertainment spaces to suit all guests, including the Constellation Bar at the enclosed Roof Lounge.
The Etihad lounges are accessible to guests flying in Etihad’s The Residence, First and Business Class and Etihad Guest members with eligible tier status. Guests flying in Economy who wish to enjoy the exclusive lounge space can purchase access to Etihad’s Business Lounge subject to availability.
The Lounge is located with access to three gates offering direct-lounge boarding on selected flights, meaning guests in premium cabins can board straight from the Lounge for convenience and speed.

Capital One Lounge opens at Denver airport
Capital One’s Lounge opened a new location at Denver International Airport (DEN) on Nov. 3, 2023. The 10,800 sq.-ft. lounge features unique, locally inspired, premium amenities designed to accommodate all types of travelers, from those looking for a quick drink or bite before they board their flights to those seeking a place to relax and recharge before their travel journey. It is located in Concourse A, near Gate 34 on the mezzanine level.
The lounge also offers a few private, dimly lit relaxation rooms (pictured) with ceilings that mimic the nighttime Colorado sky, offering visitors a calm space for much-needed rest between travels.

Capital One lounge opens at IAD
Capital One opened a lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on Sept. 7, 2023, that features unique, locally inspired, premium amenities and is designed to accommodate all types of travelers, from those looking for a quick drink or bite before they board their flights to those who are looking for a place to relax and recharge before their travel journey.
In its food and beverage program, the lounge partners with local DMV-area breweries, mixologists, coffee roasters, and bakeries as a way to bring to life the many culinary offerings of the Nation’s Capital. In partnership with Unfiltered Hospitality, Capital One’s lounge beverage and cocktail program partner, Capital One aims to create a locally immersive experience through its lounge network.
The design of our new Capital One Lounge at IAD takes inspiration from the historic terminal at IAD, and thus is heavily influenced by mid-century revolutionaries, Eero Saarinen, the airport’s architect, and Harry Bertoia, a renowned artist commissioned for a now-famous bronze sculpture in the heart of the terminal.
The lounge also showcases historic architectural images of the airport’s original control tower and terminal designed by Saarinen and features beautiful teak wood architectural elements and mid-century modern furniture, including Bertoia and Womb chairs.

LOT to open business lounge in Chicago in 2024
LOT Polish Airlines announced the construction of North America’s first business lounge at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. For the Polish carrier, Chicago is a strategic destination in the US market in terms of the potential traffic of Polish and other minorities living in the metropolitan area.<\/p>
In the new LOT Polish Airlines lounge, passengers will experience a modern work zone, a relaxation zone as well as a catering zone. There will be touches reminiscent of Polish tradition through, among other things, the use of amber in the space, as well as cooperation with Polish partners. The opening is scheduled for late Q3/early Q4 2024.

New Star Alliance lounge opens at Paris CDG airport
Star Alliance inaugurated its second lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport for first and business class passengers as well as Star Alliance Gold status customers on member airline flights departing from Gates 10 to 38 in Terminal 1. Eligible United Club and Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members may also access the lounge.
The new 1,300 sq m lounge is located airside after immigration and security controls in the newest part of the terminal and can accommodate over 300 guests. It offers great runway views, featuring local French brands and artists. For business travelers who prefer a quieter space, there are private work cabins and secluded nooks throughout the lounge.

London Luton Airport to open two new lounges
London Luton Airport (LLA) appointed No1 Lounges, part of Swissport ALD Holdings, to provide two new airport lounge spaces at the airport.
My Lounge will provide a laid back, inclusive loft-style space in which guests can choose whatever they would like to eat or drink including premium beers, wines and spirits from a self-service pantry. My Lounge will have a capacity of 155 seats and replace the current Aspire Lounge with an eventual complete refurbishment.
Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of different seating styles, freshly prepared hot and cold dishes served buffet style and a wide variety of premium beverages served from a fully tended bar. The No1 Lounge will have a capacity of 70 seats and will be in the previous Clubrooms location at the terminal.
Work will this fall, with the lounge scheduled to open at year-end. My Lounge work will commence at the end of this year and is planned to be ready by summer 2024.

KLM opens remodeled, sustainable lounge in Houston
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines opened its newly renovated lounge at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The 4,000 sq. ft. lounge has more than 100 seats featuring new furniture made with long-lasting, recyclable sustainable materials including eco-leather. The remodeled lounge also showcases the Delft Blue house display and wall art inspired by the interior design of KLM aircraft. The lounge is located in IAH’s Terminal D, next to gate D16, and is accessible by Air France and KLM passengers, as well as its SkyTeam passengers.

United opens largest Club lounge in Denver
United Airlines opened its largest United Club at Denver International Airport (DEN). This new, 35,000 sq.-ft. club is located in the B Concourse, near gate B44, is on three levels and has more than 600 seats, making it the largest club in United's network. The space reflects Denver's beer scene with brewery-inspired elements and a new beer tasting experience at the feature bar on the mezzanine level.
Inspired by Denver's urban areas, the space features details such as concrete flooring, hand-crafted decor and exposed ceilings for a sleek and modern design. Throughout the space, guests can enjoy a variety of locally sourced furnishings and artwork, including photography, paintings, sculptures and murals that reflect the Denver community. The entryway features a sculpture inspired by the cones of the Colorado Blue Spruce. Made by Will Schlough, the piece is crafted from dozens of skateboards meant to resemble colorful pinecones. An additional statement mural by local artists, Jaime Molina and Pedro Barrios, tells the story of Denver through highly-visual, street art inspired geometric shapes.

American Airlines opened a new Admirals Club lounge at Newark Liberty International Airport, featuring a variety of seating options, a business center, enhanced food and beverage offerings, and stunning views of the runway.

Singapore Airlines reopens Hong Kong, Taipei lounges
Singapore Airlines’ SilverKris lounges at Hong Kong International (HKIA) and Taipei’s Taoyuan Airport (TPE) have reopened. The lounge at HKIA (pictured) is located in the Main Departure Hall, Level 6, near Gate 5. It is open for business-class customers, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members. The TPE lounge is located in Terminal 2, Level 4, and features warm food and light snacks, wireless internet, accessible restrooms, a shower and TV.

Delta Sky Club opens new lounge in Newark’s Terminal A
Delta Air Lines opened a 7,000-sq.-ft. Sky Club lounge in Newark International Airport’s (EWR) newly opened Terminal A—the Atlanta-based airline’s new home. It seats more than 200 guests and includes elevated views of the terminal and airfield. The lounge, which reflects the city’s industrial past, features acoustic systems designed to absorb outside sounds, providing visitors with a quiet refuge inside the bustling terminal.

Delta Sky Club lounges open at Boston-Logan
Delta Sky Club is anchoring its newest lounge at Boston-Logan Airport in the city's nautical history, offering sweeping views of the historic harbor and a 21st-century skyline. The nearly 21,000-sq.-ft. Club, which seats more than 400 guests, will operate on the international E Concourse alongside two Clubs on Concourse A. The lounge design takes inspiration from the famous harbor itself, incorporating colors and textures reminiscent of Boston’s nautical history.
The Club’s washed oak motif nods to the weathered wood of a ship, giving customers the feel of being aboard a classic sailing vessel. Even the shape of the Club mimics the graceful curvature of a sailboat; its elongated profile complements the building’s architecture and is divided by wood and metal arches that transform the expansive square footage into intimate, inviting spaces. A calming color palette with accents of navy, teal and terracotta pulls from the signature brick of the Boston skyline, paired with a gradient sunset over the jewel-toned harbor.

Cathay Pacific reopens SFO lounge
Cathay Pacific has reopened its business- and first-class lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), featuring the Noodle Bar nook and an alternative to SFO’s British Airways lounge for oneworld flyers, with a limited set of hours on days when Cathay flies from San Francisco to Hong Kong.

New Plaza Premium lounge opens at Jordan’s Queen Alia airpor
Plaza Premium Group has opened a lounge at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Jordan, in partnership with hospitality company Marhaba and Jordanian airport operator Airport International Group. The 475 m Marhaba Plaza Premium Lounge accommodates 130 people and is located on the Mezzanine Level.

Horizon business lounge opens at DME
The Horizon business lounge has opened at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport in Terminal 2. The 668 sq m lounge has a capacity of 200 people that includes a children's and lounge area with a fascinating panoramic view of the platform. The design of the new business hall is made in an urban style, the principles of which are based on fashion trends in decor and technology.

Cathay Pacific reopens Taipei lounge at TPE
Cathay Pacific on Aug. 9 reopened its business and first-class lounge Taipei lounge at Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) at Terminal 1, Level 4. The lounge offers fine Asian and Western cuisine, and many amenities that include private work suites equipped with dual-operating-system iMacs and printers, as well as free Wi-Fi access.

Atlanta airport to open Private Suite luxury terminal
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will open the second US location of Private Suites, PS ATL, a private luxury terminal for commercial flights on Sept. 6 that offers on-site TSA screening, followed by time in the terminal in either The Salon lounge or Private Suite, both equipped with complimentary often-forgotten amenities.
At boarding time, members and guests will be driven to ATL’s gates to board their plane directly from the tarmac. For those arriving to ATL, the full experience is reversed seamlessly, from tarmac pick-up through airport departure, as well as private customs clearance on international arrivals.
The Private Suites provide travelers with complete privacy in their own spacious accommodation, while The Salon offers a sophisticated social lounge perfect for solo travelers or small groups. Beyond the respite spaces, guests can enjoy an extensive menu of cocktails and chef-prepared meals, as well as spa and beauty offerings such as massages, manicure and barber services.
PS ATL’s official opening marks the second location, followed by Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in 2017. PS recently announced locations coming to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), set to open in spring 2024, and Miami International Airport (MIA), scheduled for a 2025 opening.

Delta opens second Sky Club lounge at New York JFK
Delta Air Lines has opened its second Sky Club lounge at New York JFK airport, located at Terminal 4 near Gate A7. The nearly 14,000-sq.-ft. Club, which seats more than 250 guests and includes a covered Sky Deck, will operate alongside the Club on Terminal 4, Concourse B. Together the two clubs will have capacity for over 800 guests simultaneously at JFK.

Brussels Airlines opens renovated Sunrise lounge
Brussels Airlines has completed the renovation of its Sunrise Lounge, available to business class passengers travelling to Sub-Saharan Africa. The lounge is located in Brussels airport’s T-zone, and has been redesigned to increase capacity by 25%. The new facilities include five “nap boxes” and renovated shower suites.

Emirates re-opens newly designed lounge at Munich Airport
Following a six-week refurbishment, the Emirates Lounge at Munich Airport has reopened (July 14, 2023). The 196-seat, 965-sq-m facility features all-new cream leather seating, carpeting, murals and kitchen amenities. The lounge is open daily from four hours before departure. It offers hot and cold meals from caterer Do & Co, including many vegan options, a complimentary full bar service and private shower facilities.

Plaza Premium opens Marhaba Lounge in Amman
Airport International Group signed an agreement with Plaza Premium Group during a ceremony held on July 18, followed by the opening of Marhaba Plaza Premium Lounge at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA). The new CIP lounge is located on the Mezzanine Level above the Duty-Free, offering passengers superior levels of services and facilities.
The new 475 sq m CIP lounge accommodates up to 130 passengers that features an interior that draws inspiration from the scenic beauty of Amman. Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, private workstations and media facilities, showers and in-lounge wellness facilities, and local and international cuisines.

Paris CDG to offer T1 lounge space for Emirates premium travelers
Emirates has partnered with Extime in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), to offer premium travelers a new exclusively dedicated lounge space in Terminal 1, while the renovation of Terminal 2 continues.
As one of the only carriers to have an exclusive space in Terminal 1, Emirates said it will be offering passengers private lounge with a total of 155 seats, indoor and outdoor space and an outstanding food and beverage selection. Serving an average of 190 customers a day, the dedicated lounge will facilitate Emirates customer comfort and refreshment until flight operations move to Terminal 2 in July 2024, and a newly constructed Emirates Lounge opens.

United opens new lounge at Newark Airport
The new United Club outpost is the first lounge to be opened in Newark Airport's Terminal A, near Gate A27. Open daily from 5 a.m. to 9:15 p.m., the new 15,000 sq. ft. lounge offers a New York/New Jersey-inspired design and open-air layout.

Air Canada opens Maple Leaf Lounge at SFO
Air Canada opened a Maple Leaf Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), which offers spectacular views from its first outdoor terrace. Premium amenities include food and beverage options that highlight local flavours, such as a unique seafood offering alongside a selection of Californian wines, plus a curated cocktail menu. The lounge is located in Termina 2, Sector 4, on the fourth floor.

Cathay Pacific reopens lounge in Vancouver
The Cathay Pacific lounge at Vancouver International Airport Authority will reopen June 16, for flight CX865 on June 17, as Hong Kong flag carrier continues to add more flights to its global schedule.
Located in the International Terminal of Vancouver International Airport (YVR), between departure gates D70 and D71, the lounge originally opened in May 2016. The lounge measures 510 sq m, with a seating capacity of 108 people offering a “comfortable, exclusive environment of understated luxury in which passengers can relax before their flight out of Vancouver.”
Designed by London-based design firm Studioilse, the lounge features warm, natural materials like wood and stone, alongside softened acoustics and lighting, to create an environment that helps passengers feel relaxed by engaging the senses and focusing on wellbeing as a core principle.

Swissport, Air Canada unveils joint lounge concept at Toronto City Airport
Swissport’s Aspire Lounges has collaborated with Air Canada for a new, environmentally conscious, co-branded lounge at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ).
Located in the domestic departures area, the Aspire | Air Canada Café can accommodate 133 guests. The new lounge has been built to meet the LEED ID+C standards, a globally recognized certification that ensures a space is designed using sustainable building practices. The lounge will be open daily from 5:30am to 8:30pm and features locally roasted coffee delivered via state-of-the-art coffee machines, private workspaces, lounge seating and communal tables to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for eligible passengers.

New Sapphire Lounge opens at Boston Logan Airport
Airport lounge specialist Airport Dimensions, in partnership with JPMorgan Chase, has unveiled their first domestic Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Boston Logan Airport. The 11,640 sq. ft. Club Lounge has dedicated areas for recharging, including two wellness rooms that feature anti-gravity massage chairs and guided meditations, two dual-head shower rooms and all-gender restrooms stocked with Apotheke products.

Delta opens third Sky Club at MSP airport
Delta Sky Club customers traveling through Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) can relax in the airline’s third Sky Club, with seating for more than 450 guests. The 21,000 sq. ft. lounge offers a new nature-inspired oasis on the upper level of the recently expanded G concourse. Inspired by Minnesota’s designation as the “land of 10,000 lakes,” the MSP-G Club’s design concept features a rich color palette evoking summer sunsets at the lake – earth tones like sage greens paired with warm copper and amber hues.

Qatar opens HIA ‘The Garden’ business lounge
Qatar Airways has opened the new Al Mourjan Business Lounge at Hamad International Airport (HIA) named “The Garden.” The lounge overlooks “The ORCHARD,” surrounded by renowned retailers and restaurants, while offering uniquely designed relaxation spaces and areas to socialize and indulge in a scenic masterpiece.

ITA Airways opens Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino
Italy’s ITA Airways inaugurated the new Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino. The 980 sq m facility, which can accommodate 150 passengers, is located in boarding area A in the airport’s Schengen section. Features include a visual installation consisting of 72 blue ITA Airways tablets with videos of the carrier’s destinations, as well as central island hot buffet, a 30-metre bar offering cocktails, showers workstations with USB and charging outlets, and a VIP conference room.

SWISS reopens Non-Schengen lounge at Zurich Airport
Swiss International Air Lines is reopening its Non-Schengen Lounge in Zurich Airport’s Terminal D. Extending over 650 sq m, the lounge offers views of the airport’s apron activity and the Alps beyond. The lounge is available to all Business Class and First Class travelers along with Senators and HON Circle members of SWISS and the Lufthansa Group, and Business Class travelers on further Star Alliance airlines.

Akasa Air introduces departure lounge access at select India airports
India’s Akasa Air introduced departure lounge access for customers across select airports in the country, in partnership with DreamFolks Services, which operates in 54 lounges across India. Flyers can access lounges in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Guwahati, Agartala, Lucknow, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar. Passengers can purchase the lounge access up to 12 hours prior to departure on Akasa Air’s website and mobile app. Progressively, the service will be made available for purchase across more destinations.

Lufthansa opens new lounge at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
The new Lufthansa Senator Lounge and Lufthansa Business Lounge will open April 3 at Berlin Brandenburg Airport for Lufthansa Group Business Class passengers, status customers and Star Alliance Airlines travelers with lounge entitlement.
The Senator Lounge offers the best conditions for feeling good, relaxing and working. A new digital art concept invites lounge guests to help design the art in the lounge themselves via app. In the new business lounge, guests can sit in the TV club and enjoy classical music, concert broadcasts and films, or relax in one of the comfortable armchairs while taking a look at one of the high-quality coffee-table books.

Swissport opens second Aspire Lounge at Finland’s HEL airport
Swissport opened its second Aspire lounge at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL) in Finland. Dubbed Lounge 13, a nod to its location next to gate 13, the new lounge complements the existing Lounge 27, which has been operated by Aspire Airport Lounges at HEL since 2014. The 308-sq m-facility designed in a Scandinavian style offers comfortable and elegant seating for 100 guests. A restaurant serves international cuisine, delicacies, and an attractive selection of beverages. Lounge 13 is equipped with fast Wi-Fi, multiple power outlets and USB ports.

Delta Sky Club opens lounge at Kansas City
The Delta Sky Club has deepened its Midwest ties with the opening of its Kansas City International Airport (MCI) lounge, the only carrier lounge at the recently transformed airport. MCI’s $1.5 billion overhaul consolidated all airport operations into a 39-gate terminal. Customers at the new MCI will enjoy a completely revamped, fully accessible experience from curb to gate, with a state-of-the-art lobby; a new, enlarged security checkpoint; local concession options; gates equipped with the most up-to-date technology; and more.

American Express opens expanded Centurion Lounge at Sea-Tac
American Express has tripled the size of its Centurion Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The newly expanded lounge, located on the mezzanine level in the Central Terminal, is open to eligible American Express cardholders with the consumer or business versions of the Platinum Card, the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card and Centurion members. It is accessible by taking the elevator or staircase located in the food court in the Central Terminal.

Qantas invests $100 million to upgrade lounge network
Qantas will spend $100 million to enhance its network of lounges including opening a new First Lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport in late 2025; reopening a refreshed lounge at Hong Kong International Airport in April 2023; refurbishing and expanding its International Business Lounge in Sydney in early 2024; updating and expanding its International Business Lounge in Melbourne from 2023; opening a new Hobart Qantas Club in 2024; and opening a new Broome Regional Lounge in 2024 with double the seats.
It’s the single biggest investment in the Qantas lounge network in more than a decade and comes as the airline expands its Domestic and International routes and starts to take delivery of next-generation aircraft. The $100-million investment in lounges is phased over three years and is included in the Group’s existing capital expenditure forecast.

Travel Point to open Gaming Point VR lounge at Perth Airport
Travel Point Group signed a concession agreement with Perth Airport, Western Australia, to deliver the first Gaming Point in an airport.
Gaming Point at Perth Airport will include one immersive Virtual Reality (VR) escape room, for up to five players per session, with each session lasting 30-45 minutes. The VR ‘escape room’ runs eight separate games to choose from. A Game Master from the Gaming Point team will guide the group on their journey.
Gaming Point will also house a range of Individual high speed internet gaming stations, linked to the steam network, for die hard gamers to continue their own gaming on their own accounts, and/or provide solo gaming options in the gaming lounge for newcomers.

Plaza Premium re-opens Mastercard Airport Lounge at Budapest airport
A fully refurbished Mastercard Airport Lounge re-opened at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, in partnership with Plaza Premium Group. The Mastercard Airport Lounge is available exclusively to holders of Hungary-issued World Elite, Platinum, Business Platinum and Gold Mastercard and internationally issued World Elite and Black Mastercard. Located at the mezzanine level of the SkyCourt hall in Terminal 2, the 160 sq m (1,722 sq. ft.) lounge can accommodate up to 56 travelers at a time. A fluid interior with smooth and curved linear surfaces create a relaxing and serene atmosphere.
To maximize the experience, travelers will be offered a selection of hot and cold dishes along with signature beverages served at the dedicated bar area throughout the day. The newly opened lounge also has a quiet zone for those who wish to have a peaceful moment prior to departure.

Kuwait Airways to expand, rebrand Al Mubarakiya Lounge
Kuwait Airways will expand the Al Mubarakiya Lounge in Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport and allocate it for passengers of Royal Class, First Class, and Oasis Club's Platinum card holders. The lounge will be renamed the Elite lounge, which will open by the end of April 2023. The lounge is designed with soundproofing features to enable valued passengers to relax and rest. Kuwait Airways implemented and designed the new lounge with the latest facilities, corresponding to the requirements of elite passengers with more luxury and comfort, in addition to providing them with an excellent array of local and international cuisines, and catered to their satisfaction.

Qatar Airways’ Premium Lounge re-opens at Paris-CDG
Qatar Airways re-opened its Premium Lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), complementing the Doha-based airline’s triple daily flights, available for premium passengers and eligible oneworld alliance partners.
The Premium Lounge features The Brasserie and The Global Deli, prayer rooms, business center, shower facilities, Wi-Fi and zoned seating for more than 200 guests. At more than 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq. ft.), the lounge is open for Qatar Airways’ first and business class passengers. It is equipped with a full kitchen for freshly prepared à la carte orders, in addition to an existing buffet spread, offering an international menu from across the globe.

Cathay Pacific reopens ‘The Deck’ at Hong Kong airport
Cathay Pacific Airways reopened “The Deck” lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, giving customers more ways to relax and pamper themselves before their flight. Located close to Gate 6 in Terminal 1, The Deck is designed in the signature StudioIlse blueprint of Cathay Pacific’s lounges in Hong Kong and across its network. Unique to The Deck is The Terrace, an open-ceiling L-shaped verandah featuring both table and individual seating, enabling visitors to take in panoramic views of the airport’s apron, taxiways and northern runway whilst enjoying their choice of drinks and dining options.

Star Alliance Lounge at Schiphol offers pay-as-you-go access
Star Alliance is offering paid access to its lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) airport. In addition to offering complimentary access to Star Alliance Gold members, and First Class and Business Class passengers, the lounge will now welcome other Star Alliance passengers regardless of membership status or cabin class, for a nominal fee.
The Star Alliance Amsterdam airport lounge is located airside in Departures Hall 2 after security clearance for the Schengen Area. The lounge offers a contemporary space inspired by Holland’s ever-changing skies and landscapes. Decorated with original Dutch furniture and art, the lounge offers free Wi-Fi and spaces dedicated to business and leisure flyers, including personal work booths, a communal worktable, a bar, and spacious dining and relaxation areas. It can accommodate up to 150 guests.

United opens Club Lounge at Chicago O’Hare
United Airlines has opened a new United Club lounge at Chicago O’Hare International Airport Terminal 1 on the C concourse near Gate C10. The 17,000 sq ft lounge has a capacity for more than 400 guests to dine, work or relax.

Brisbane airport’s My Lounge to reopen
The new My Lounge, operated by UK-based No1 Lounges, at Brisbane Airport will open in February 2023. Previously known as the Virgin Australia lounge, the pay-per-use lounge is located near Gate 77 in the departure concourse. It can accommodate 108 guests who can work, dine or relax as they enjoy tarmac views and game rooms. Complimentary access is offered to Hawaiian Airlines’ Virgin Australia’s business-class passengers, plus Velocity Gold, Platinum frequent flyers and Virgin Australia lounge and lifetime lounge members who travel to New Zealand.

Rome airport offers pay-per-use access to Star Alliance Lounge
Star Alliance offers pay-per-use access to its lounge at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airport. Besides providing complimentary access for eligible customers, the lounge will now also welcome other Star Alliance passengers regardless of membership status or cabin class, for a nominal fee.
The lounge is located in the Intra-Schengen zone in Terminal 3 of FCO. It welcomes passengers of all flights operated by Star Alliance members from Fiumicino Airport, and is convenient for customers traveling within the European Schengen Zone.

Plaza Premium Lounge at Orlando’s Terminal C offers gaming
Plaza Premium Group’s new lounge in Terminal C at Orlando International Airport (MCO) offers a dedicated kids’ area that features an interactive gaming experience called Tasty Turtle Treats, which is a one-player interactive game where the player takes control of a turtle using an advanced interactive camera that uses the person as the controller. Turtle food falls from the top of the screen, and the player moves left to right to gobble up as much food as they can in the time limit. The game is brought to the newly opened lounge by a partnership with edgefactory and X Studios.

No1 Lounges reopens Gatwick North Terminal Clubrooms
No1 Lounges reopened the Clubrooms at Gatwick North Terminal, which are open from 7am-2pm daily. The Clubrooms offer hosted table service, freshly made-to-order food dishes and premium beverages.

American, BA open expanded Terminal 8 lounge
American Airlines and British Airways welcomed customers to the newly renovated Terminal 8 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in December 2022, representing a $400 million investment.
Operational enhancements of Terminal 8 include five new widebody gates, four new widebody parking positions, and an expanded and upgraded baggage handling system that will together support additional transatlantic flights. The terminal has also been expanded with approximately 130,000 sq. ft. of additional and refurbished space.
This marks the completion of the first phase of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s redevelopment of the airport.

DXB offers gaming lounge
Dubai International (DXB) opened Game Space, which is located in the heart of DXB Family Zone at B Gates in Terminal 3. The space features 40 game stations, each of which has 50-in. screens and side-by-side seating for either solo or multi-player gaming.
Key hardware for 20 of the 40 gaming stations is provided by Republic of Gamers (ROG), an ASUS sub-brand that created hardware and software.

Airport Dimensions opens sleep ‘n fly lounge at DOH
Airport Dimensions opened its second sleep ’n fly lounge at Hamad International Airport in Qatar in late 2022.
Located at North Node, opposite Gates 30-31, the new 420 sq m lounge can accommodate more than 50 guests at any one time.
The lounge features a choice of sleep options for guests, including sleep ’n fly’s flagship FlexiSuite pods, bunk and family cabins as well as dedicated power nap and economy pods. Shower and toilet facilities are also available.
Features also include comfortable seating in a waiting area as well as a dedicated retail space selling travel essentials such as sleep ’n fly’s signature neck hoodies, eco dental and shaving kits, travel slippers, teddy bears and more.

Etihad opens Terminal A lounge at Abu Dhabi
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has unveiled flagship premium lounges at Abu Dhabi International Airport’s new Terminal A. Etihad’s new lounges span three floors of Terminal A’s north side, nestled between Piers C and D. The First and Business lounges feature a range of dining options, relaxation and entertainment spaces to suit all guests, including the Constellation Bar at the enclosed Roof Lounge.
The Etihad lounges are accessible to guests flying in Etihad’s The Residence, First and Business Class and Etihad Guest members with eligible tier status. Guests flying in Economy who wish to enjoy the exclusive lounge space can purchase access to Etihad’s Business Lounge subject to availability.
The Lounge is located with access to three gates offering direct-lounge boarding on selected flights, meaning guests in premium cabins can board straight from the Lounge for convenience and speed.

Capital One Lounge opens at Denver airport
Capital One’s Lounge opened a new location at Denver International Airport (DEN) on Nov. 3, 2023. The 10,800 sq.-ft. lounge features unique, locally inspired, premium amenities designed to accommodate all types of travelers, from those looking for a quick drink or bite before they board their flights to those seeking a place to relax and recharge before their travel journey. It is located in Concourse A, near Gate 34 on the mezzanine level.
The lounge also offers a few private, dimly lit relaxation rooms (pictured) with ceilings that mimic the nighttime Colorado sky, offering visitors a calm space for much-needed rest between travels.

Capital One lounge opens at IAD
Capital One opened a lounge at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) on Sept. 7, 2023, that features unique, locally inspired, premium amenities and is designed to accommodate all types of travelers, from those looking for a quick drink or bite before they board their flights to those who are looking for a place to relax and recharge before their travel journey.
In its food and beverage program, the lounge partners with local DMV-area breweries, mixologists, coffee roasters, and bakeries as a way to bring to life the many culinary offerings of the Nation’s Capital. In partnership with Unfiltered Hospitality, Capital One’s lounge beverage and cocktail program partner, Capital One aims to create a locally immersive experience through its lounge network.
The design of our new Capital One Lounge at IAD takes inspiration from the historic terminal at IAD, and thus is heavily influenced by mid-century revolutionaries, Eero Saarinen, the airport’s architect, and Harry Bertoia, a renowned artist commissioned for a now-famous bronze sculpture in the heart of the terminal.
The lounge also showcases historic architectural images of the airport’s original control tower and terminal designed by Saarinen and features beautiful teak wood architectural elements and mid-century modern furniture, including Bertoia and Womb chairs.

LOT to open business lounge in Chicago in 2024
LOT Polish Airlines announced the construction of North America’s first business lounge at Chicago’s O’Hare Airport. For the Polish carrier, Chicago is a strategic destination in the US market in terms of the potential traffic of Polish and other minorities living in the metropolitan area.<\/p>
In the new LOT Polish Airlines lounge, passengers will experience a modern work zone, a relaxation zone as well as a catering zone. There will be touches reminiscent of Polish tradition through, among other things, the use of amber in the space, as well as cooperation with Polish partners. The opening is scheduled for late Q3/early Q4 2024.

New Star Alliance lounge opens at Paris CDG airport
Star Alliance inaugurated its second lounge at Paris Charles de Gaulle airport for first and business class passengers as well as Star Alliance Gold status customers on member airline flights departing from Gates 10 to 38 in Terminal 1. Eligible United Club and Air Canada Maple Leaf Club members may also access the lounge.
The new 1,300 sq m lounge is located airside after immigration and security controls in the newest part of the terminal and can accommodate over 300 guests. It offers great runway views, featuring local French brands and artists. For business travelers who prefer a quieter space, there are private work cabins and secluded nooks throughout the lounge.

London Luton Airport to open two new lounges
London Luton Airport (LLA) appointed No1 Lounges, part of Swissport ALD Holdings, to provide two new airport lounge spaces at the airport.
My Lounge will provide a laid back, inclusive loft-style space in which guests can choose whatever they would like to eat or drink including premium beers, wines and spirits from a self-service pantry. My Lounge will have a capacity of 155 seats and replace the current Aspire Lounge with an eventual complete refurbishment.
Guests will be able to enjoy a variety of different seating styles, freshly prepared hot and cold dishes served buffet style and a wide variety of premium beverages served from a fully tended bar. The No1 Lounge will have a capacity of 70 seats and will be in the previous Clubrooms location at the terminal.
Work will this fall, with the lounge scheduled to open at year-end. My Lounge work will commence at the end of this year and is planned to be ready by summer 2024.

KLM opens remodeled, sustainable lounge in Houston
KLM Royal Dutch Airlines opened its newly renovated lounge at Houston George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH). The 4,000 sq. ft. lounge has more than 100 seats featuring new furniture made with long-lasting, recyclable sustainable materials including eco-leather. The remodeled lounge also showcases the Delft Blue house display and wall art inspired by the interior design of KLM aircraft. The lounge is located in IAH’s Terminal D, next to gate D16, and is accessible by Air France and KLM passengers, as well as its SkyTeam passengers.

United opens largest Club lounge in Denver
United Airlines opened its largest United Club at Denver International Airport (DEN). This new, 35,000 sq.-ft. club is located in the B Concourse, near gate B44, is on three levels and has more than 600 seats, making it the largest club in United's network. The space reflects Denver's beer scene with brewery-inspired elements and a new beer tasting experience at the feature bar on the mezzanine level.
Inspired by Denver's urban areas, the space features details such as concrete flooring, hand-crafted decor and exposed ceilings for a sleek and modern design. Throughout the space, guests can enjoy a variety of locally sourced furnishings and artwork, including photography, paintings, sculptures and murals that reflect the Denver community. The entryway features a sculpture inspired by the cones of the Colorado Blue Spruce. Made by Will Schlough, the piece is crafted from dozens of skateboards meant to resemble colorful pinecones. An additional statement mural by local artists, Jaime Molina and Pedro Barrios, tells the story of Denver through highly-visual, street art inspired geometric shapes.

Singapore Airlines reopens Hong Kong, Taipei lounges
Singapore Airlines’ SilverKris lounges at Hong Kong International (HKIA) and Taipei’s Taoyuan Airport (TPE) have reopened. The lounge at HKIA (pictured) is located in the Main Departure Hall, Level 6, near Gate 5. It is open for business-class customers, PPS Club and KrisFlyer Elite Gold members. The TPE lounge is located in Terminal 2, Level 4, and features warm food and light snacks, wireless internet, accessible restrooms, a shower and TV.

Delta Sky Club opens new lounge in Newark’s Terminal A
Delta Air Lines opened a 7,000-sq.-ft. Sky Club lounge in Newark International Airport’s (EWR) newly opened Terminal A—the Atlanta-based airline’s new home. It seats more than 200 guests and includes elevated views of the terminal and airfield. The lounge, which reflects the city’s industrial past, features acoustic systems designed to absorb outside sounds, providing visitors with a quiet refuge inside the bustling terminal.

Delta Sky Club lounges open at Boston-Logan
Delta Sky Club is anchoring its newest lounge at Boston-Logan Airport in the city's nautical history, offering sweeping views of the historic harbor and a 21st-century skyline. The nearly 21,000-sq.-ft. Club, which seats more than 400 guests, will operate on the international E Concourse alongside two Clubs on Concourse A. The lounge design takes inspiration from the famous harbor itself, incorporating colors and textures reminiscent of Boston’s nautical history.
The Club’s washed oak motif nods to the weathered wood of a ship, giving customers the feel of being aboard a classic sailing vessel. Even the shape of the Club mimics the graceful curvature of a sailboat; its elongated profile complements the building’s architecture and is divided by wood and metal arches that transform the expansive square footage into intimate, inviting spaces. A calming color palette with accents of navy, teal and terracotta pulls from the signature brick of the Boston skyline, paired with a gradient sunset over the jewel-toned harbor.

Cathay Pacific has reopened its business- and first-class lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), featuring the Noodle Bar nook and an alternative to SFO’s British Airways lounge for oneworld flyers, with a limited set of hours on days when Cathay flies from San Francisco to Hong Kong.

New Plaza Premium lounge opens at Jordan’s Queen Alia airpor
Plaza Premium Group has opened a lounge at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA) in Jordan, in partnership with hospitality company Marhaba and Jordanian airport operator Airport International Group. The 475 m Marhaba Plaza Premium Lounge accommodates 130 people and is located on the Mezzanine Level.

Horizon business lounge opens at DME
The Horizon business lounge has opened at Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport in Terminal 2. The 668 sq m lounge has a capacity of 200 people that includes a children's and lounge area with a fascinating panoramic view of the platform. The design of the new business hall is made in an urban style, the principles of which are based on fashion trends in decor and technology.

Cathay Pacific reopens Taipei lounge at TPE
Cathay Pacific on Aug. 9 reopened its business and first-class lounge Taipei lounge at Taiwan’s Taoyuan International Airport (TPE) at Terminal 1, Level 4. The lounge offers fine Asian and Western cuisine, and many amenities that include private work suites equipped with dual-operating-system iMacs and printers, as well as free Wi-Fi access.

Atlanta airport to open Private Suite luxury terminal
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will open the second US location of Private Suites, PS ATL, a private luxury terminal for commercial flights on Sept. 6 that offers on-site TSA screening, followed by time in the terminal in either The Salon lounge or Private Suite, both equipped with complimentary often-forgotten amenities.
At boarding time, members and guests will be driven to ATL’s gates to board their plane directly from the tarmac. For those arriving to ATL, the full experience is reversed seamlessly, from tarmac pick-up through airport departure, as well as private customs clearance on international arrivals.
The Private Suites provide travelers with complete privacy in their own spacious accommodation, while The Salon offers a sophisticated social lounge perfect for solo travelers or small groups. Beyond the respite spaces, guests can enjoy an extensive menu of cocktails and chef-prepared meals, as well as spa and beauty offerings such as massages, manicure and barber services.
PS ATL’s official opening marks the second location, followed by Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) in 2017. PS recently announced locations coming to Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW), set to open in spring 2024, and Miami International Airport (MIA), scheduled for a 2025 opening.

Delta opens second Sky Club lounge at New York JFK
Delta Air Lines has opened its second Sky Club lounge at New York JFK airport, located at Terminal 4 near Gate A7. The nearly 14,000-sq.-ft. Club, which seats more than 250 guests and includes a covered Sky Deck, will operate alongside the Club on Terminal 4, Concourse B. Together the two clubs will have capacity for over 800 guests simultaneously at JFK.

Brussels Airlines opens renovated Sunrise lounge
Brussels Airlines has completed the renovation of its Sunrise Lounge, available to business class passengers travelling to Sub-Saharan Africa. The lounge is located in Brussels airport’s T-zone, and has been redesigned to increase capacity by 25%. The new facilities include five “nap boxes” and renovated shower suites.

Emirates re-opens newly designed lounge at Munich Airport
Following a six-week refurbishment, the Emirates Lounge at Munich Airport has reopened (July 14, 2023). The 196-seat, 965-sq-m facility features all-new cream leather seating, carpeting, murals and kitchen amenities. The lounge is open daily from four hours before departure. It offers hot and cold meals from caterer Do & Co, including many vegan options, a complimentary full bar service and private shower facilities.

Plaza Premium opens Marhaba Lounge in Amman
Airport International Group signed an agreement with Plaza Premium Group during a ceremony held on July 18, followed by the opening of Marhaba Plaza Premium Lounge at Queen Alia International Airport (QAIA). The new CIP lounge is located on the Mezzanine Level above the Duty-Free, offering passengers superior levels of services and facilities.
The new 475 sq m CIP lounge accommodates up to 130 passengers that features an interior that draws inspiration from the scenic beauty of Amman. Amenities include high-speed Wi-Fi, private workstations and media facilities, showers and in-lounge wellness facilities, and local and international cuisines.

Paris CDG to offer T1 lounge space for Emirates premium travelers
Emirates has partnered with Extime in Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), to offer premium travelers a new exclusively dedicated lounge space in Terminal 1, while the renovation of Terminal 2 continues.
As one of the only carriers to have an exclusive space in Terminal 1, Emirates said it will be offering passengers private lounge with a total of 155 seats, indoor and outdoor space and an outstanding food and beverage selection. Serving an average of 190 customers a day, the dedicated lounge will facilitate Emirates customer comfort and refreshment until flight operations move to Terminal 2 in July 2024, and a newly constructed Emirates Lounge opens.

United opens new lounge at Newark Airport

Air Canada opens Maple Leaf Lounge at SFO
Air Canada opened a Maple Leaf Lounge at San Francisco International Airport (SFO), which offers spectacular views from its first outdoor terrace. Premium amenities include food and beverage options that highlight local flavours, such as a unique seafood offering alongside a selection of Californian wines, plus a curated cocktail menu. The lounge is located in Termina 2, Sector 4, on the fourth floor.

Cathay Pacific reopens lounge in Vancouver
The Cathay Pacific lounge at Vancouver International Airport Authority will reopen June 16, for flight CX865 on June 17, as Hong Kong flag carrier continues to add more flights to its global schedule.
Located in the International Terminal of Vancouver International Airport (YVR), between departure gates D70 and D71, the lounge originally opened in May 2016. The lounge measures 510 sq m, with a seating capacity of 108 people offering a “comfortable, exclusive environment of understated luxury in which passengers can relax before their flight out of Vancouver.”
Designed by London-based design firm Studioilse, the lounge features warm, natural materials like wood and stone, alongside softened acoustics and lighting, to create an environment that helps passengers feel relaxed by engaging the senses and focusing on wellbeing as a core principle.

Swissport, Air Canada unveils joint lounge concept at Toronto City Airport
Swissport’s Aspire Lounges has collaborated with Air Canada for a new, environmentally conscious, co-branded lounge at Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport (YTZ).
Located in the domestic departures area, the Aspire | Air Canada Café can accommodate 133 guests. The new lounge has been built to meet the LEED ID+C standards, a globally recognized certification that ensures a space is designed using sustainable building practices. The lounge will be open daily from 5:30am to 8:30pm and features locally roasted coffee delivered via state-of-the-art coffee machines, private workspaces, lounge seating and communal tables to provide a comfortable and relaxing environment for eligible passengers.

New Sapphire Lounge opens at Boston Logan Airport
Airport lounge specialist Airport Dimensions, in partnership with JPMorgan Chase, has unveiled their first domestic Chase Sapphire Lounge by The Club at Boston Logan Airport. The 11,640 sq. ft. Club Lounge has dedicated areas for recharging, including two wellness rooms that feature anti-gravity massage chairs and guided meditations, two dual-head shower rooms and all-gender restrooms stocked with Apotheke products.

Delta opens third Sky Club at MSP airport
Delta Sky Club customers traveling through Minneapolis-Saint Paul International Airport (MSP) can relax in the airline’s third Sky Club, with seating for more than 450 guests. The 21,000 sq. ft. lounge offers a new nature-inspired oasis on the upper level of the recently expanded G concourse. Inspired by Minnesota’s designation as the “land of 10,000 lakes,” the MSP-G Club’s design concept features a rich color palette evoking summer sunsets at the lake – earth tones like sage greens paired with warm copper and amber hues.

ITA Airways opens Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino
Italy’s ITA Airways inaugurated the new Hangar Lounge at Rome Fiumicino. The 980 sq m facility, which can accommodate 150 passengers, is located in boarding area A in the airport’s Schengen section. Features include a visual installation consisting of 72 blue ITA Airways tablets with videos of the carrier’s destinations, as well as central island hot buffet, a 30-metre bar offering cocktails, showers workstations with USB and charging outlets, and a VIP conference room.

SWISS reopens Non-Schengen lounge at Zurich Airport
Swiss International Air Lines is reopening its Non-Schengen Lounge in Zurich Airport’s Terminal D. Extending over 650 sq m, the lounge offers views of the airport’s apron activity and the Alps beyond. The lounge is available to all Business Class and First Class travelers along with Senators and HON Circle members of SWISS and the Lufthansa Group, and Business Class travelers on further Star Alliance airlines.

Akasa Air introduces departure lounge access at select India airports
India’s Akasa Air introduced departure lounge access for customers across select airports in the country, in partnership with DreamFolks Services, which operates in 54 lounges across India. Flyers can access lounges in Mumbai, Delhi, Bengaluru, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Kochi, Guwahati, Agartala, Lucknow, Varanasi, Hyderabad, Pune, Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar. Passengers can purchase the lounge access up to 12 hours prior to departure on Akasa Air’s website and mobile app. Progressively, the service will be made available for purchase across more destinations.

Lufthansa opens new lounge at Berlin Brandenburg Airport
The new Lufthansa Senator Lounge and Lufthansa Business Lounge will open April 3 at Berlin Brandenburg Airport for Lufthansa Group Business Class passengers, status customers and Star Alliance Airlines travelers with lounge entitlement.
The Senator Lounge offers the best conditions for feeling good, relaxing and working. A new digital art concept invites lounge guests to help design the art in the lounge themselves via app. In the new business lounge, guests can sit in the TV club and enjoy classical music, concert broadcasts and films, or relax in one of the comfortable armchairs while taking a look at one of the high-quality coffee-table books.

Swissport opens second Aspire Lounge at Finland’s HEL airport
Swissport opened its second Aspire lounge at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport (HEL) in Finland. Dubbed Lounge 13, a nod to its location next to gate 13, the new lounge complements the existing Lounge 27, which has been operated by Aspire Airport Lounges at HEL since 2014. The 308-sq m-facility designed in a Scandinavian style offers comfortable and elegant seating for 100 guests. A restaurant serves international cuisine, delicacies, and an attractive selection of beverages. Lounge 13 is equipped with fast Wi-Fi, multiple power outlets and USB ports.

Delta Sky Club opens lounge at Kansas City
The Delta Sky Club has deepened its Midwest ties with the opening of its Kansas City International Airport (MCI) lounge, the only carrier lounge at the recently transformed airport. MCI’s $1.5 billion overhaul consolidated all airport operations into a 39-gate terminal. American Express opens expanded Centurion Lounge at Sea-Tac
American Express has tripled the size of its Centurion Lounge at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. The newly expanded lounge, located on the mezzanine level in the Central Terminal, is open to eligible American Express cardholders with the consumer or business versions of the Platinum Card, the Delta SkyMiles Reserve Card and Centurion members. It is accessible by taking the elevator or staircase located in the food court in the Central Terminal.

Qantas invests $100 million to upgrade lounge network
Qantas will spend $100 million to enhance its network of lounges including opening a new First Lounge at London’s Heathrow Airport in late 2025; reopening a refreshed lounge at Hong Kong International Airport in April 2023; refurbishing and expanding its International Business Lounge in Sydney in early 2024; updating and expanding its International Business Lounge in Melbourne from 2023; opening a new Hobart Qantas Club in 2024; and opening a new Broome Regional Lounge in 2024 with double the seats.
It’s the single biggest investment in the Qantas lounge network in more than a decade and comes as the airline expands its Domestic and International routes and starts to take delivery of next-generation aircraft. The $100-million investment in lounges is phased over three years and is included in the Group’s existing capital expenditure forecast.

Travel Point to open Gaming Point VR lounge at Perth Airport
Travel Point Group signed a concession agreement with Perth Airport, Western Australia, to deliver the first Gaming Point in an airport.
Gaming Point at Perth Airport will include one immersive Virtual Reality (VR) escape room, for up to five players per session, with each session lasting 30-45 minutes. The VR ‘escape room’ runs eight separate games to choose from. A Game Master from the Gaming Point team will guide the group on their journey.
Gaming Point will also house a range of Individual high speed internet gaming stations, linked to the steam network, for die hard gamers to continue their own gaming on their own accounts, and/or provide solo gaming options in the gaming lounge for newcomers.

Plaza Premium re-opens Mastercard Airport Lounge at Budapest airport
A fully refurbished Mastercard Airport Lounge re-opened at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport, in partnership with Plaza Premium Group. The Mastercard Airport Lounge is available exclusively to holders of Hungary-issued World Elite, Platinum, Business Platinum and Gold Mastercard and internationally issued World Elite and Black Mastercard. Located at the mezzanine level of the SkyCourt hall in Terminal 2, the 160 sq m (1,722 sq. ft.) lounge can accommodate up to 56 travelers at a time. A fluid interior with smooth and curved linear surfaces create a relaxing and serene atmosphere.
To maximize the experience, travelers will be offered a selection of hot and cold dishes along with signature beverages served at the dedicated bar area throughout the day. The newly opened lounge also has a quiet zone for those who wish to have a peaceful moment prior to departure.

Kuwait Airways to expand, rebrand Al Mubarakiya Lounge
Kuwait Airways will expand the Al Mubarakiya Lounge in Terminal 4 at Kuwait International Airport and allocate it for passengers of Royal Class, First Class, and Oasis Club's Platinum card holders. The lounge will be renamed the Elite lounge, which will open by the end of April 2023. The lounge is designed with soundproofing features to enable valued passengers to relax and rest. Kuwait Airways implemented and designed the new lounge with the latest facilities, corresponding to the requirements of elite passengers with more luxury and comfort, in addition to providing them with an excellent array of local and international cuisines, and catered to their satisfaction.

Qatar Airways’ Premium Lounge re-opens at Paris-CDG
Qatar Airways re-opened its Premium Lounge at Paris-Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG), complementing the Doha-based airline’s triple daily flights, available for premium passengers and eligible oneworld alliance partners.
The Premium Lounge features The Brasserie and The Global Deli, prayer rooms, business center, shower facilities, Wi-Fi and zoned seating for more than 200 guests. At more than 1,000 sq m (10,764 sq. ft.), the lounge is open for Qatar Airways’ first and business class passengers. It is equipped with a full kitchen for freshly prepared à la carte orders, in addition to an existing buffet spread, offering an international menu from across the globe.

Cathay Pacific reopens ‘The Deck’ at Hong Kong airport
Cathay Pacific Airways reopened “The Deck” lounge at Hong Kong International Airport, giving customers more ways to relax and pamper themselves before their flight. Located close to Gate 6 in Terminal 1, The Deck is designed in the signature StudioIlse blueprint of Cathay Pacific’s lounges in Hong Kong and across its network. Unique to The Deck is The Terrace, an open-ceiling L-shaped verandah featuring both table and individual seating, enabling visitors to take in panoramic views of the airport’s apron, taxiways and northern runway whilst enjoying their choice of drinks and dining options.

Star Alliance Lounge at Schiphol offers pay-as-you-go access
Star Alliance is offering paid access to its lounge at Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) airport. In addition to offering complimentary access to Star Alliance Gold members, and First Class and Business Class passengers, the lounge will now welcome other Star Alliance passengers regardless of membership status or cabin class, for a nominal fee.
The Star Alliance Amsterdam airport lounge is located airside in Departures Hall 2 after security clearance for the Schengen Area. The lounge offers a contemporary space inspired by Holland’s ever-changing skies and landscapes. Decorated with original Dutch furniture and art, the lounge offers free Wi-Fi and spaces dedicated to business and leisure flyers, including personal work booths, a communal worktable, a bar, and spacious dining and relaxation areas. It can accommodate up to 150 guests.

United opens Club Lounge at Chicago O’Hare
United Airlines has opened a new United Club lounge at Chicago O’Hare International Airport Terminal 1 on the C concourse near Gate C10. The 17,000 sq ft lounge has a capacity for more than 400 guests to dine, work or relax.

Brisbane airport’s My Lounge to reopen
The new My Lounge, operated by UK-based No1 Lounges, at Brisbane Airport will open in February 2023. Previously known as the Virgin Australia lounge, the pay-per-use lounge is located near Gate 77 in the departure concourse. It can accommodate 108 guests who can work, dine or relax as they enjoy tarmac views and game rooms. Complimentary access is offered to Hawaiian Airlines’ Virgin Australia’s business-class passengers, plus Velocity Gold, Platinum frequent flyers and Virgin Australia lounge and lifetime lounge members who travel to New Zealand.

Rome airport offers pay-per-use access to Star Alliance Lounge
Star Alliance offers pay-per-use access to its lounge at Rome Fiumicino (FCO) airport. Besides providing complimentary access for eligible customers, the lounge will now also welcome other Star Alliance passengers regardless of membership status or cabin class, for a nominal fee.
The lounge is located in the Intra-Schengen zone in Terminal 3 of FCO. It welcomes passengers of all flights operated by Star Alliance members from Fiumicino Airport, and is convenient for customers traveling within the European Schengen Zone.

Plaza Premium Lounge at Orlando’s Terminal C offers gaming
Plaza Premium Group’s new lounge in Terminal C at Orlando International Airport (MCO) offers a dedicated kids’ area that features an interactive gaming experience called Tasty Turtle Treats, which is a one-player interactive game where the player takes control of a turtle using an advanced interactive camera that uses the person as the controller. Turtle food falls from the top of the screen, and the player moves left to right to gobble up as much food as they can in the time limit. The game is brought to the newly opened lounge by a partnership with edgefactory and X Studios.

No1 Lounges reopens Gatwick North Terminal Clubrooms
No1 Lounges reopened the Clubrooms at Gatwick North Terminal, which are open from 7am-2pm daily. The Clubrooms offer hosted table service, freshly made-to-order food dishes and premium beverages.

American, BA open expanded Terminal 8 lounge
American Airlines and British Airways welcomed customers to the newly renovated Terminal 8 at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport in December 2022, representing a $400 million investment.
Operational enhancements of Terminal 8 include five new widebody gates, four new widebody parking positions, and an expanded and upgraded baggage handling system that will together support additional transatlantic flights. The terminal has also been expanded with approximately 130,000 sq. ft. of additional and refurbished space.
This marks the completion of the first phase of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s redevelopment of the airport.

DXB offers gaming lounge
Dubai International (DXB) opened Game Space, which is located in the heart of DXB Family Zone at B Gates in Terminal 3. The space features 40 game stations, each of which has 50-in. screens and side-by-side seating for either solo or multi-player gaming.
Key hardware for 20 of the 40 gaming stations is provided by Republic of Gamers (ROG), an ASUS sub-brand that created hardware and software.

Airport Dimensions opens sleep ‘n fly lounge at DOH
Airport Dimensions opened its second sleep ’n fly lounge at Hamad International Airport in Qatar in late 2022.
Located at North Node, opposite Gates 30-31, the new 420 sq m lounge can accommodate more than 50 guests at any one time.
The lounge features a choice of sleep options for guests, including sleep ’n fly’s flagship FlexiSuite pods, bunk and family cabins as well as dedicated power nap and economy pods. Shower and toilet facilities are also available.
Features also include comfortable seating in a waiting area as well as a dedicated retail space selling travel essentials such as sleep ’n fly’s signature neck hoodies, eco dental and shaving kits, travel slippers, teddy bears and more.
Today’s airport lounges offer not only comfort and well-being, but tastes of local flavor as they serve as a safe space for travelers. Other new services include sleeping and gaming facilities. Pay-as-you-access is also becoming popular, especially at a time of operational issues that result it last-minute flight cancellations.
