Emirates and Nigerian carrier Air Peace have activated a bilateral interline agreement, expanding air connectivity between Africa, the United Arab Emirates and the UK.
The pact allows passengers on both airlines to travel on a single ticket with through-checked baggage across select routes, streamlining connections between West and Central Africa, Dubai and London.
The agreement enables Air Peace to link its regional network directly into Emirates’ global hub in Dubai, providing onward access to major international destinations including London Heathrow, London Gatwick and London Stansted, as well as key African cities such as Abidjan, Accra and Lagos.
Emirates passengers can now also access additional West African destinations on Air Peace’s network beyond the 13 Nigerian cities already served. New connections include Banjul in the Gambia and Dakar in Senegal via Abidjan, as well as Freetown in Sierra Leone and Monrovia in Liberia via Accra.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ deputy president and CCO, says the expanded interline partnership supports the airline’s long-term strategy in Africa.
“We remain committed to working with strategic partners such as Air Peace to further strengthen Nigeria’s aviation, tourism and trade sectors,” he says.
Air Peace CCO Nowel Ngala added that the interline agreement with Emirates represents a “major step” in Air Peace’s strategic vision to connect Africa more efficiently to global markets.
Emirates currently operates a Boeing 777-300ER on its Dubai-Lagos route and is one of only two airlines offering a first-class cabin into Nigeria.
Air Peace operates a fleet of more than 50 aircraft including Boeing 777s, 737s and Embraer aircraft. As well as London routes, the airline also flies to Istanbul and Jeddah.
