Turkish Airlines has reached a deal with GE Aerospace to procure engines, spare engines and engine maintenance services for 75 Boeing 787 aircraft.

In late September, the Turkish carrier confirmed a long-anticipated purchase of 35 787-9s and 15 787-10s, with options for an additional 25 aircraft. Deliveries are scheduled to take place between 2029 and 2034.

“As part of our strategic plan, which aims to generate significant value for all stakeholders, our board of directors has decided to purchase a total of 75 aircraft from Boeing,” Turkish Airlines said in a statement.

The airline added that, following a tender process, GE Aerospace was selected to provide GEnx engines, spare parts, and full maintenance coverage for the new wide-body fleet. The agreement is part of the airline’s fleet expansion strategy, supporting its long-term growth plan and increasing its international capacity.

The 787-10s are expected to operate on high-demand intercontinental routes connecting Turkey to Africa, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the U.S. Today, Turkish Airlines operates more than 200 Boeing aircraft, including 737-8/9s, 737-800/900s, 777-300ERs, 777Fs and 787-9s.
