Video: United Airlines’ First Airbus A321XLR Featured At Farnborough

United Airlines has taken delivery of its first of 50 Airbus A321XLRs on order.

Six weeks after delivery, the aircraft was featured at the Farnborough Airshow, prior to its entry into commercial service.

The carrier’s XLRs are designed to be the most premium-heavy narrowbody airplane in its fleet.

The cabin includes new all-aisle access lie-flat United Polaris Studio suites with privacy doors, larger overhead bins, a snack bar in the rear of the economy cabin, and one row in Economy Plus featuring a large permanently-fixed table blocking the middle seat.

United expects to offer its first domestic flights on the new A321XLR later this fall, with international service slated to begin by early 2027.
