Boeing has appointed Fahad Al Mheiri as vice president for the Middle East, Gulf and North Africa, starting in January.

Al Mheiri succeeds Kuljit Ghata-Aura, who has transitioned into a new executive role within Boeing.

In his new position, Al Mheiri will be responsible for strengthening Boeing’s strategic initiatives and partnerships across the region, with a focus on supporting national strategies aimed at growing the aerospace sector.

Prior to joining Boeing, Al Mheiri served as managing director of Raytheon Emirates, where he built extensive experience in the aerospace and defense industries.

Boeing said its operations in Saudi Arabia will continue to be managed separately under Asaad Aljomoai, president of Boeing Saudi Arabia.

Brendan Nelson, president of Boeing Global, said, “Fahad’s extensive aerospace experience and his strong relationships in the region will enable us to continue to build on its 80-year legacy across the Middle East, Gulf and North Africa.”

Boeing currently employs more than 700 people across the Middle East and North Africa and serves over 30 commercial customers, as well as 12 armed forces, throughout the region.
