Iceland’s decision to open its borders to vaccinated travelers is prompting the carrier to launch a new route to the country in May, as well as resuming two other services.
The carriers have launched the first phase of their Northeast-focused alliance, which includes more than 30 new routes, almost 80 codeshares and aligned schedules in key markets.
CEO Scott Kirby has confirmed the airline plans to return to New York John F Kennedy next year and compete aggressively on routes to the US West Coast.
