End-of-life services specialist AerFin has opened a new facility for airframe and engine parts in Miami.
The new facility is located close to Miami International Airport and will house inventory for Boeing, Airbus and Embraer airframe products, as well as CF34, CFM56 and V2500 engine material.
AerFin says the volume of the site is around 35,000 ft.2 and will hold functions for 24/7 AOG services and engine storage.
The undisclosed investment will include additions to its sales and operations teams in the Americas region.
Simon Goodson, CEO of UK-headquartered AerFin, says of the Miami opening: “This marks a significant milestone in our growth journey, from initially locating in-country inventory a little over 5 years ago to now establishing our own operation in a key aviation hub, and allowing us to better serve the needs of our existing and future customers.”
AerFin bolstered its presence in the Americas region five years ago by setting up a parts warehouse focusing on supply for the Embraer E-Jet segment with more than 200-part numbers.
At the time, it estimated that it had around $12 million worth of inventory in the U.S. alone across different locations, the majority of which comprised of A320-family, 737NG and Embraer E-Jet inventory.
