NIST Advanced Technology Program
Lura J. Powell has been named director of the NIST Advanced Technology Program. She succeeds George Uriano, who has retired. Powell was manager of the Biotechnology Div. at the U.S. Commerce Dept.'s National Institute of Standards and Technology.
