C&L Aviation Receives Transport Canada Approval
C&L Aviation Service has received Transport Canada Civil Aviation approval for maintenance services on commercial aircraft registered in Canada. The company already provides parts and component repairs to Canadian customers from its Bangor, Maine Part 145 maintenance facility.
AvAir Plans New Dublin Facility
Aftermarket parts supplier AvAir has announced plans to open a new facility at Dublin Airport. AvAir says the new 25,000 ft.2warehouse facility will enable it to provide better service to customers in Europe, Asia and the Middle East.
Magnetic MRO Signs Airbus Maintenance Agreement
Magnetic MRO has signed a long term airframe maintenance agreement with Airbus for support and maintenance of its aircraft. The MRO provides EASA and FAA-certified services for Airbus operators in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia.
TDA Acquires Ex-Germania A319s For Teardown
TDA has acquired two Airbus A319s formerly operated by Germania for teardown. The aircraft are undergoing disassembly at eCube in Wales and TDA says parts will be available for exchange and sales in the next few weeks.
Lufthansa Technik Grows Russian Carrier Contracts
Lufthansa Technik (LHT) has signed new contracts with Russian carriers Red Wings Airlines and SmartAvia to support their fleets. The six-year contract with Red Wings supports IAE V2500 and CFM56-5B engines and landing gears for the carrier’s growing Airbus narrowbody fleet. LHT’s long-term agreement with SmartAvia covers technical services for the carrier’s Boeing 737 fleet, including access to spare parts.
FL ARI Wins EASA Part 145 Approval
FL ARI Aircraft Maintenance & Engineering Company has obtained certification approval as an EASA Part 145 Maintenance Organization. The Harbin, China-based joint venture between China Aircraft Leasing Group, Aircraft Recycling International and FL Technics is now cleared to provide line maintenance support for Boeing 737 NG and Airbus A320 family aircraft.
ST Engineering To Unveil IoT Solution
ST Engineering iDirect, a company of ST Engineering North America, will preview a new, cost-effective Internet of Things platform-as-a-service solution at the Satellite 2020 conference in Washington, DC, March 9 to 12. The new solution will provide partners with the ability to offer satellite-based connectivity for the industrial Internet of Things market.

MAC Moves Operations to Estonia
MAC Aero Interiors, a UK-based subsidiary of Magnetic MRO, has moved its production facility to Tallinn, Estonia. The new facility in Estonia's capital was opened in January 2020. Due to changes in the economic environment in the UK, the company decided to support its customers in in Tallinn. China-based MAC Sichuan, a subsidiary of MAC, continues to provide cabin total technical care support for large-volume orders and brings exposure to the Asian market.
