Lithuanian MRO provider FL Technics is seeking to diversify its revenue streams following the acquisition of MRO software company Sensus Aero.

The Sensus MRO platform is designed to consolidate fragmented digital and paper-based systems for airframe and heavy maintenance into a single program.

FL Technics has hangars in Lithuania, the UK and Indonesia, plus a new five-bay facility in the Dominican Republic that opened late last year.

And while Sensus MRO already benefits FL Technics operations, the company now intends to develop the software further for sale to the wider MRO market, where it sees demand growing for integrated platforms that can streamline processes.

The current version of Sensus MRO includes features such as automated work pack generation and task sequencing; turnaround time forecasting for slot and capacity planning; intelligent inventory management with proactive parts provisioning; and real-time resource load balancing to avoid bottlenecks.

“Integrating the platform into FL Technics Group allows us to further develop its capabilities while creating additional value for customers both within and outside our organization,” FL Technics CEO Žilvinas Lapinskas says.

Those customers could include Job Air Technic, a Czech maintenance provider that FL Technics’ parent, Avia Solutions Group, acquired earlier this year.

At the time, Avia said that Job Air would continue its operations while gradually integrating into FL Technics’ organizational and operational framework. The combined teams will focus on sharing expertise, aligning processes and creating operational synergies across the group.

Job Air operates eight maintenance bays across two hangars at its facility near Ostrava, Czechia.
