Air France signed two Airbus maintenance agreements with Asia Digital Engineering Sept. 10.

The first is an Airbus A330-200 heavy maintenance and modification contract for Air France. Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) will induct the first aircraft in October and perform additional checks on a phased basis.

The companies did not disclose the number of aircraft included in the long-term contract, but ADE did say that it is “starting with one aircraft per quarter.” They expect additional inductions in the coming years as the partnership between the companies “continues to expand and deepen.”

Under the second agreement, Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance will provide component support for AirAsia Group’s new A321neo fleet. ADE will manage the program as the MRO provider to AirAsia Group.

AirAsia took delivery of its first A321neo in November 2019. In 2021, it converted its remaining A320 orders to the A321neo, bringing its order total for the type to 362 aircraft. It will continue receiving A321neo deliveries until 2035.

In May, ADE achieved both European Union Aviation Safety Agency and FAA Part 145 approval. It already had approved maintenance organization from 10 Asian countries.
