Bombardier Adds 12 Challenger 3500s To Orderbook

Bombardier has received a firm order for 12 Challenger 3500 super midsized business jets valued at $326.4 million at list prices, from an unnamed customer.

Deliveries of the aircraft are set to begin in the second half of 2025, the company says.

Bombardier introduced the Challenger 3500 in Montreal in September 2021. The aircraft is an updated version of the Challenger 350, which started life as the Bombardier Continental.

Bombardier delivered 47 Challenger 3500s in 2023 through Dec. 29, up from 38 deliveries of Challenger 3500 and Challenger 350 aircraft in 2022, according to Aviation Week Network Fleet Discovery database. The 38 Challenger 3500/350 deliveries in 2022 included 14 Challenger 3500s.

The Challenger 3500 has a BCA-equipped list price of $27.2 million. It is equipped with two Honeywell HTF7350 turbofan engines, has a range of 3,400 nm and a top speed of Mach 0.83.
