Textron Deal Gives Platoon Aviation Europe’s Largest Citation Longitude Fleet
Platoon Aviation orders Cessna Citation Longitude jets for European expansion.
Platoon Aviation has signed a multi-aircraft order with Textron Aviation that will make it the owner of Europe’s largest Cessna Citation Longitude fleet.
The Hamburg-based charter operator provides on-demand private jet travel with long-range capability for business and leisure travelers.
Deliveries of the aircraft are expected to begin in 2027, with Platoon claiming the fleet expansion will enable it to provide greater flexibility, reliability and connectivity within and from Europe.
"The Citation Longitude fleet expansion reflects our commitment to building a future-proof, next-generation aviation platform that combines operational efficiency, sustainability and uncompromising comfort," said Platoon CEO Deniz Weißenborn.
With a range of 3,500 nm (4,027 mi.), the Citation Longitude is a super-midsize business jet and can accommodate up to 12 passengers, although lower configurations are often used.
Lannie O’Bannion, senior vice president sales & marketing at Textron Aviation, said: "This agreement with Platoon Aviation underscores the Longitude’s leadership in the super-midsize segment and the trust customers place in Cessna and our team."
