More than 1,750 business aircraft are projected to be delivered to European customers over the 10-year period from 2027 to 2036, according to the 2027 Aviation Week Business Aviation Fleet & MRO Forecast.
Broken down, deliveries to Europe, including Eastern and Western Europe, include 1,320 jets and 478 turboprop shipments over the decade. Single-engine turboprops are expected to comprise 25% of the deliveries to Europe, the largest segment, followed by light business jets at 21% and ultra-long-range jets at 20%.
The forecast projects the Pilatus PC-12 to see the highest number of new unit deliveries of new-build aircraft to customers in the region, followed by Daher’s TBM series, Embraer’s Phenom 300 and Textron Aviation’s Citation Latitude.
In the meantime, the in-service business aviation fleet in Europe is expected to climb from just over 4,200 aircraft in 2027 to nearly 5,500 units at the end of 2036, a 2.8% compound annual growth rate, higher than the world average of 1.3%, Aviation Week’s forecast says.
By manufacturer, Textron Aviation, Gulfstream and Pilatus Aircraft are projected to be the most popular new deliveries into this region, worth $27.9 billion at retail rates, out of the $48.7 billion total. Maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) dollar demand for business aircraft in the region, meanwhile, is projected to grow at a 3.9% annual rate, compared with 3.2% globally before inflation.
Textron Aviation is expected to deliver the most business aircraft over the forecast period with 25% of total deliveries. Gulfstream, Pilatus and Bombardier are expected to contribute more than a 10% share of overall deliveries in the region.
