GE Aerospace finalized an order with American Airlines for 180 CF34-8E engines plus spares to power American’s fleet of 90 new Embraer 175 regional jets.

TUI Airline and GE Aerospace extended their services agreement and added a new TrueChoice agreement that covers the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the airline’s GEnx engine-powered Boeing 787 fleet.  

StandardAero completed correlation of its first test cell for the CFM International LEAP-1B turbofan engine. StandardAero’s San Antonio, Texas, facility is now able to undertake LEAP-1B functional and performance engine testing for Boeing 737 MAX customers, with LEAP-1A test cell capabilities in support of Airbus A320neo customer base expected to follow shortly.

Lessor Avalon placed an order with Pratt & Whitney for the PW1100G GTF engines to power 80 Airbus A320neos.

Embraer Services & Support announced it was expanding its worldwide MRO facilities and will install three new commercial aviation simulators at locations to be revealed later.
