Rwandair begins fifth freedom links between Uganda and South Sudan

RwandAir will operations between Entebbe, Uganda and Juba in South Sudan today, following the recently granted Fifth freedom traffic rights from Uganda to South Sudan by the Ugandan Civil Aviation Authority.

RwandAir will operate daily flights with a CRJ-900 and Boeing 737-700 aircraft with a two class service.
“We are delighted to further strengthen our regional operations with today’s increase of frequency from Uganda to South Sudan and we hope this will serve as a key link for business and trade between the two countries”, said John Mirenge, RwandAir’s CEO
Every Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, flights will depart Entebbe at 07:00am arriving Juba at 08:00am and return from Juba at 08:55am arriving Entebbe at 10:05am. On Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays flights will depart Entebbe at 3:35pm arriving in Juba at 4:45pm and returning from Juba at 5:30pm to arrive back in Entebbe at 6:40pm.
Jean Paul Nyirubutama, RwandAir’s deputy CEO and COO added that, “this new schedule, in addition to connecting Juba to Entebbe, will also provide it with seamless connections to the entire RwandAir network and in particular to Kigali, Johannesburg, Nairobi, Lagos, Accra, Dar es Salaam and Dubai.

RwandAir's fleet has an average age of less than three years and consists of two B737-800 NG Sky interior, two B737-700, two CRJ-900NG and one Q-400.
