Qantas appoints PR agency in Dubai
Qantas has appointed Dubai-based communications agency DABO & CO to help build awareness of the airline's Dubai services to travellers across the Middle East and wider GCC.
DABO & CO will assist in positioning the Qantas brand as a premium carrier for business and leisure travellers to both Australia and the UK following the repositioning of its European hub to Dubai in March this year.
Qantas Regional general manager Middle East and North Africa, Rohan Garnett, said DABO & CO would assist communicating the wider benefits for travellers when travelling with Qantas.
“We are pleased to have DABO & CO help promote our double daily A380 services from Dubai to London and Dubai to Sydney and Melbourne,” said Mr Garnett.
“We have returned our Kangaroo Route to the Middle East following a 30 year absence and we’ve had a great response from our customers. We want to continue marketing the premium experience the Qantas brand offers to its customers around the globe.
“We will also continue to promote the benefits of our new partnership with Emirates, in which our two complementary brands will deliver the best network, lounges, frequent flyer benefits and travel experiences worldwide.”
Camilla d’Abo, managing partner, DABO & CO said it was an honour to be representing the Qantas brand in the Middle East.
“This is a very exciting time for Qantas as it establishes its brand in the region. We know it’s a very pivotal move to launch services to Dubai and we aim to showcase the Qantas A380s, their luxurious and comfortable interiors and international service to travellers in Dubai and the Middle East,” said Ms d’Abo.
The introduction of the Qantas hub at Dubai International Airport celebrates a new world of travel opportunities for customers in Dubai and the Middle East. Travellers now have access to Qantas A380s offering First, Business, Premium Economy and Economy with award winning seats in each cabin.
Under the new partnership, both Qantas Frequent Flyers and Emirates Skywards members receive reciprocal recognition and priority benefits across a joint network of 175 destinations including access to priority check-in, boarding and additional baggage allowances, enabling a seamless experience regardless of the carrier they fly with.
