FUN FRIDAY: Vietnam Airlines 787 Soars into the Sky Ahead of Paris Air Show Demo
Ahead of the 2015 Paris Air show, Boeing took one of their Vietnam Airlines 787-9 Dreamliners out for a spin, to highlight the aircraft’s many capabilities.
The aerial demonstration video shows the aircraft soaring above Washington State, offering the public a first look at the demonstration Boeing is scheduled to fly at the Paris Air Show which takes place from 15-18 June.
The video shows the aircraft performing some technical manoeuvres, with new angles and the livery of 787-9 customer Vietnam Airlines, the video builds on the excitement of Boeing’s 2014 Farnborough Air Show rehearsal.
The Boeing 787-9 is the second and newest member of the 787 family. With the fuselage stretched 20 feet over the 787-8, the 787-9 can fly more passengers and more cargo over a greater distance but with the same environmental efficiency.
Thirty customers from around the world have ordered 509 787-9s, 46 percent of all 787 orders.
