Fiji Airways is boosting its North American network with the launch of the first-ever nonstop flights between Nadi and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

The 13-hr. service will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays using Airbus A350-900 XWB aircraft. The inaugural flight is scheduled to depart on Dec. 10.

“The new Fiji-Dallas service is set to bring more than 1,000 passengers a week into Fiji alone, helping to bolster the nation’s tourism industry,” Fiji Airways CEO and Managing Director Andre Viljoen says. “The overnight flight will also offer our customers increased connections to North America from the South Pacific and beyond.”

Fiji Airways is currently a oneworld Connect partner and already has a codeshare deal in place with American Airlines. It plans to join American Airlines’ AAdvantage loyalty program in the coming year and become the 15th full member of the oneworld alliance in 2025.

Dallas will be Fiji Airways’ 24th international direct destination and will be the fifth North American point served by the airline, along with Honolulu, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver.

According to Sabre Market Intelligence data, O&D traffic between Fiji and the U.S. totaled 166,482 two-way passengers in 2023, marking a year-on-year rise of 39%. Fiji Airways is the sole carrier to offer nonstop flights between the two countries.
