Porter Airlines has launched nonstop flights connecting Boston with Toronto Pearson and Montreal Trudeau airports, further expanding its cross-border network. The airline will operate 14X-weekly flights between Toronto and Boston using Embraer E195-E2 aircraft, while service between Montreal and Boston will operate daily with De Havilland Dash 8-400 aircraft. With the additions, Porter now operates a combined eight daily flights to Boston from Toronto City, Toronto Pearson, Ottawa and Montreal.
Saudi LCC flynas has expanded its summer 2026 network with new direct routes from Riyadh to Rome, Munich and Budapest, while also resuming seasonal flights to Podgorica and the Maldives. The new and resumed routes will launch June 24, with three flights per week planned on each service. The additions form part of flynas’ wider summer 2026 schedule, which includes more than 25 international destinations across Europe, Asia and Africa.
Peach will launch daily flights between Tokyo Narita (NRT) and Seoul Incheon on Sept. 20, marking its first new international route from NRT in seven years. The new service will operate daily. The LCC currently operates six domestic and one international route from the Tokyo airport.
Wizz Air is expanding its operations in Moldova by basing a fifth aircraft in Chisinau and increasing frequencies on 10 European routes. The additional aircraft will join the carrier’s base at Chișinău International Airport from Sept. 18, adding more than 500,000 seats and helping the airline surpass 3 million seats on sale in Moldova this year. Frequency increases will affect routes from Chisinau to Paris Beauvais, Berlin, Bologna, Venice, Brussels Charleroi, Prague, Milan Bergamo, Verona, Larnaca and Nice. Several routes will move to daily operations, including Paris Beauvais, Bologna, Venice, Brussels Charleroi, Prague and Milan Bergamo.
Volotea will launch the first international route from San Sebastian, Spain, to Florence on Sept. 21, expanding its network from the Basque city. The new service will operate twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays, before shifting to Mondays and Fridays from November. The airline says it will offer nearly 9,000 seats across 58 scheduled flights on the route this year.

Saudi LCC flyadeal is adding new seasonal routes to Milan Bergamo in Italy and Prague in the Czech Republic. The carrier will also resume seasonal flights to Trabzon in Turkey, Sarajevo in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Sharm El Sheikh in Egypt from July 1 through Sept. 26. Flyadeal says it will operate 12 summer-only routes connecting five destinations from Riyadh, Jeddah, Dammam and Qassim, offering nearly 900 scheduled flights during the peak travel period. The Riyadh-Milan Bergamo route will commence on July 2 with three flights per week, while Riyadh-Prague will also be 3X-weekly from July 1. Both services will use Airbus A320 aircraft
Qatar Airways has resumed double-daily passenger flights from Doha to Abu Dhabi, continuing the phased restoration of its Middle East network. The reinstated service expands the carrier’s UAE operations to three destinations alongside Dubai and Sharjah. The airline also recently resumed flights to Baghdad, Basra and Erbil in Iraq, as well as daily services to Bahrain, Damascus and Kozhikode.
Canada’s Porter Airlines has launched nonstop flights between Ottawa and Kelowna, becoming the only airline operating the route. Service between Ottawa International Airport and Kelowna International Airport will initially be 5X-weekly, increasing to six services per week in June. The route is operated using Embraer 195-E2 aircraft. The service complements Porter’s existing Toronto Pearson-Kelowna service and expands the carrier’s network in British Columbia, which also includes Vancouver and Victoria.
Alaska Airlines has launched nonstop service between St. Louis and Portland. The new daily route between St. Louis Lambert International Airport and Portland International Airport began will operate through Oct. 2. The service marks Alaska Airlines’ second Pacific Northwest destination from St. Louis alongside Seattle.

Fiji Airways and WestJet have announced a new codeshare partnership aimed at expanding connectivity between Canada and the South Pacific. Under the agreement, Fiji Airways will place its FJ code on several WestJet domestic routes, including Calgary, Toronto, Edmonton, Winnipeg and Halifax, providing onward connections to Fiji Airways international services through its North American gateways. In return, WestJet will place its WS code on Fiji Airways’ Vancouver-Nadi route and onward services to Auckland, Christchurch and Wellington in New Zealand, expanding access to the South Pacific for Canadian travelers. The announcement comes as Fiji Airways expands its Vancouver operations. From June 18, the airline will operate 3X-weekly year-round flights between Nadi and Vancouver on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. From Sept. 8, all Vancouver services will be operated with the Airbus A350.
Qatar Airways has announced plans to resume flights from Doha to Helsinki and Tokyo Haneda. Service to Helsinki Airport will restart with 4X-weekly flights from July 15 using Boeing 787-8 aircraft, increasing to daily service from Aug. 1. The route was last served until December 2022, according to OAG Schedules Analyser data. The carrier will also resume flights to Tokyo Haneda Airport for the first time since March 2024 with 4X-weekly services from July 15, complementing its existing Tokyo Narita operations. Like Helsinki, frequencies to Haneda will increase to daily from Aug. 1. The route will use Airbus A350-900s and 777-200LRs.
Jeju Air has resumed domestic flights between Seoul Incheon and Jeju, restoring a route that has been without regular nonstop service since 2016. The airline is operating the route twice a week using Boeing 737 aircraft configured with 189 seats. Flights will be offered on Tuesdays and Saturdays during May, before switching to Mondays and Fridays from June onward. Jeju Air is one of eight operators to serve Seoul Gimpo-Jeju, which is the busiest air route in the world. The airline currently provides up to 25 flights per day on the sector.

Porter Airlines is expanding its Toronto network with new service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Nashville, while also restoring flights between Toronto Pearson and Quebec City. The airline has launched daily nonstop service between Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport and Nashville using De Havilland Canada Dash 8-400 aircraft. Porter says the route strengthens connectivity from downtown Toronto to one of the most popular leisure destinations in the U.S. At the same time, the carrier is reintroducing service between Toronto Pearson International Airport and Quebec City with 12 X-weekly roundtrip flights beginning May 12. The route will be operated with Embraer 195-E2 aircraft and complements Porter’s existing Billy Bishop-Quebec City service.
Loganair has launched a new UK domestic seasonal route between Jersey and Norwich. The route currently operates on Saturdays and will add Wednesday flights from June 3 through Sept. 19. It is part of a wider Jersey expansion that also includes new services to East Midlands, Paris and Bordeaux. Flights to East Midlands will operate daily from May 31 through Oct. 24, while Paris Charles de Gaulle service will operate three times per week on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from May 31 through Oct. 22. A new Bordeaux route launches June 19 with 2X-weekly Monday and Friday flights through Oct. 5.
Akasa Air will begin operations from New Delhi’s Noida International Airport on June 16, 2026, launching daily nonstop flights to Bengaluru and Navi Mumbai. The move comes a day after IndiGo becomes the launch operator at the new airport. “As India’s aviation market expands, capacity creation at the right infrastructure nodes will be key to sustaining growth,” says Anand Srinivasan, Akasa's co-founder and chief commercial officer. “With its modern infrastructure, multimodal connectivity, and long-term capacity potential, Noida International Airport will transform access to NCR.”
JetBlue has commenced summer-seasonal service between Boston Logan International Airport and Milan Malpensa Airport, marking the airline’s first-ever route to Italy. Flights will be daily using Airbus A321 equipment through Oct. 5. “Launching service to Milan marks an exciting milestone for JetBlue and our continued growth in Boston,” JetBlue President Marty St. George says. “As our first destination in Italy, Milan brings even more reach to our transatlantic network.”

Vietjet and Vietnam Airlines have separately announced plans to launch nonstop service between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo, marking the first direct air links between Vietnam and Sri Lanka. Both announcements were made during the Vietnam-Sri Lanka Trade, Investment and Tourism Cooperation Forum in Colombo, held as part of Vietnamese President To Lam’s state visit to Sri Lanka. Vietjet says it plans to launch 4X-weekly flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Colombo from August. Vietnam Airlines will begin 3X-weekly roundtrip flights on the same route from October using Airbus A321 aircraft. According to Vietnam Airlines, more than 38,000 passengers traveled between Vietnam and Sri Lanka in 2025, up 17.5% year-on-year.
Romania’s Dan Air will expand its Bucharest network with four new destinations from July 1, adding service to Amman, Jordan; Yerevan, Armenia; and Tbilisi, Georgia, while making Aleppo, Syria, a permanent route in its scheduled network. The carrier says the new routes from Henri Coanda International Airport will be operated with Airbus A320 aircraft. The new services include Amman three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays; Yerevan twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays; Tbilisi twice a week on Tuesdays and Saturdays; and Aleppo twice a week on Thursdays and Sundays. Dan Air also confirmed it has applied for traffic rights to launch additional routes to Baghdad, Baku, Beirut and Cairo as part of a broader Middle East and Caucasus expansion strategy.
Alaska Airlines is expanding its California network with four new nonstop routes from Santa Rosa and Long Beach, adding new winter seasonal flying and restoring service to Long Beach after a decade-long absence. From Santa Rosa’s Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport, the carrier will launch seasonal service to Boise, Phoenix and Salt Lake City beginning Nov. 1. Boise and Salt Lake City will operate up to daily through April 2027, while Phoenix will operate daily through April 21. All three routes will use Embraer E175 aircraft. Alaska will also resume flights between Long Beach Airport and Seattle on Sept. 8, operating twice a day year-round with Boeing 737 aircraft.
Plus Ultra Lineas Aereas is increasing frequencies to Peru, Argentina and Venezuela while temporarily suspending operations to Colombia amid rising fuel costs. The airline sa Lima will become its first daily destination, with Madrid-Lima increasing to seven flights per week from July 14. Madrid-Buenos Aires will rise to 5X-weekly frequencies from July 6, while services between Madrid, Tenerife and Caracas will also increase to 5X-weekly flights from July 15. At the same time, Plus Ultra will suspend flights to Colombia from June 2. The carrier currently operates 3X-weekly services to the country, including two flights to Bogota and one to Cartagena de Indias. The airline says the decision follows a sharp rise in aviation fuel prices linked to geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, alongside airport charges and operating costs in Colombia that have made the routes “unviable under current conditions.”
Eurowings has expanded its network from Berlin Brandenburg Airport with the launch of new routes to Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Olbia, Italy. The LCC has commenced service to Sarajevo with weekly Saturday flights. During the peak summer holiday period from July 2 through Aug. 27, the airline will add a second weekly frequency on Thursdays. Eurowings has also launched 2X-weekly service to Olbia on the island of Sardinia, operating on Tuesdays and Sundays.
Royal Jordanian has opened nonstop service between Amman and Dallas Fort Worth. The new route operates four times per week between Queen Alia International Airport and Dallas Fort Worth International Airport using Boeing 787-8 aircraft. Dallas becomes the airline’s fifth U.S. destination alongside Washington, Chicago, New York and Detroit.
Air France and KLM are expanding their winter 2026-27 schedules with additional long-haul flying and extended seasonal services. Air France will extend seasonal operations to Male in the Maldives and Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic while also adding frequencies to Mauritius. The Paris Charles de Gaulle-Male service will operate from Dec. 18 through March 8, 2027, while Punta Cana flights will run from Nov. 30 through March 27, 2027. Additional Mauritius frequencies will operate between Nov. 3 and Dec. 6. Meanwhile, KLM will extend its Amsterdam-Minneapolis summer service into the winter 2026-27 season, operating three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The Minneapolis route will operate year-round except between Jan. 4 and Feb. 19, 2027.
