Caribbean Airlines Confirms London Launch Plans

Caribbean Airlines this Summer is set to commence its long-haul service, with Port of Spain - London Gatwick service starting 14JUN12. This route will be served by ex-LAN Chile's Boeing 767-300ER aircraft.

Initially the airline will begin 4 weekly service, and increases to daily from 30JUN12. According to GDS listings, 3 of the 7 weekly flights will make a brief stop in Barbados in each direction. Operational schedule as follows:

  • BW902 POS1910 - 0900+1LGW 763 x126
  • BW903 LGW1150 - 1605POS 763 x237
  • BW900 POS1735 - 1835BGI1930 - 0900+1LGW 763 126
  • BW901 LGW1150 - 1535BGI1630 - 1725POS 763 237

BW902/903 operates from 14JUN12

BW900/901 operates from 30JUN12. Note the airline does not have local traffic rights on Port of Spain - Barbados (flight BW900/901 only) and Barbados - London Gatwick.

According to OAG Schedules iNet, Caribbean's predecessor BWIA last operated London (Heathrow) service on 30APR07.
