Canadian leisure carrier Air Transat unveiled a robust Northern Hemisphere 2024 summer season schedule, including extending service to Lima, Peru from both Montreal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL) and Toronto Pearson International Airport (YYZ) to year-round flights.

The carrier will open 2X-weekly service from YYZ to Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM) in the second half of December, when it will also launch 1X-weekly flights between YUL and LIM. Those services had been slated to end in April, but the carrier will continue with the flights to Peru as part of the summer 2024 schedule. Air Transat will use an Airbus A321LR aircraft on the routes.

The airline notes in a statement that it will serve 15 destinations in Europe from YYZ in its summer 2024 schedule. Flights to Dublin and Manchester, England, will increase to daily service from 6X-weekly.

Air Transat will also fly to 10 Caribbean/Latin American destinations from YYZ during its 2024 summer schedule, including boosting service to both Cancun, Mexico, and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to 9X-weekly, an increase over daily flights to both cities.

Overall, Air Transat will offer 110 weekly flights from YYZ during the summer of 2024.

A highlight of summer 2024 service from YUL, which features a host of added frequencies, will be growing flights to Barcelona, Spain, from 4X-weekly to daily.

Air Transat says it will offer more than 180 weekly flights to nearly 40 destinations from YUL and Quebec City Jean Lesage International Airport (YQB) combined during the 2024 summer season. It will start 1X-weekly flights between YQB and Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

“This schedule reflects a significant recovery,” the airline says.
