bmibaby to End Operations

bmibaby on Thursday (03MAY12) announced that it'll end its operation, after parent International Airlines Group (IAG) failed to find buyer for bmi's low-cost unit, after the sale of bmi to IAG. The airline will gradually winding down its operation in 2 phases, with suspension of 19 routes (133 weekly flights) from 11JUN12. The remaining routes will be cancelled from 10SEP12.
