Lyon-Saint Exupéry Airport is an international hub serving Lyon and the Rhône-Alpes region. It ranks among France's busiest airports outside Paris, with easyJet and Air France as major operators among 30+ airlines connecting Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.

In October 2016, the French Government sold its 60% stake in the airport to a consortium of VINCI Airports, Caisse des Dépôts, and Predica, with the contract running until December 31, 2047.
