Airline In Focus: Condor Airlines
Condor is transforming from a predominantly leisure airline into an increasingly independent network carrier, building its own Frankfurt hub.
Its European city network supports long-haul services while attracting business and leisure passengers. Athens, Florence and Stockholm are scheduled to join in summer 2027.
Fleet renewal underpins the strategy. Condor operates 18 Airbus A330-900s, with seven more on order, alongside a growing fleet of A320neos and A321neos. A planned move to Frankfurt’s Terminal 3 in summer 2027 will support further development.
Majority shareholder Attestor in September 2026 exercised its option to acquire the remaining government-held stake, with completion scheduled for August 2027.
Condor is one of the airlines registered to attend Routes World 2026 in Frankfurt, Germany. Peter Gerber, Chief Executive Officer, Condor Airlines, will also take to the stage at the event for a CEO Keynote Interview. Join him on Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 10:00-10:50 as he shares his insights and expertise.
