Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER) is the international airport serving Germany’s capital and the surrounding region. Opened in October 2020 after years of construction delays, BER replaced the city’s former airports—Tegel and Schönefeld—and consolidated air traffic into a single modern hub located about 18 km southeast of central Berlin.

With a capacity of around 43 million passengers annually, BER connects Berlin to major destinations across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America. The airport serves as a base for carriers including easyJet, Ryanair and Lufthansa Group’s Eurowings.
