AirAsia is an LCC based at Kuala Lumpur International Airport in Malaysia. The carrier, which was formed out of Tune Air in 2002, has since expanded into a major pan-Asian brand.

AirAsia pioneered the cross-border joint venture model in the region, establishing subsidiaries in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, and more recently Cambodia. The group operates an extensive network of domestic and regional routes.

AirAsia is one of the airlines registered to attend the 2025 Routes Asia event in Perth, Australia.

Routes Asia 2025 will unite decision-makers from the Asia Pacific route development community in Perth. The event Routes will create a platform for senior decision makers to meet and discuss the region's air services.
