Asiana Airlines is taking steps to improve its financial health by cutting unprofitable routes and retiring older aircraft while increasing its maintenance investment.

A Congressionally ordered review by FAA into whether some aviation safety inspectors (ASIs) involved in evaluating the Boeing 737 MAX flight-control system during certification were not qualified found no evidence of any deficiencies, either related to work on the MAX or other aircraft, the agency said.
